Hulk drops Chelsea hint

Brazil striker Hulk has fuelled speculation that he will move to Chelsea this summer after admitting he is aware of interest in his services from newly-installed Blues boss Jose Mourinho.

The Zenit St Petersburg marksman would not come cheap as his Russian club will be eager to recoup much of the £34 million they paid to sign the striker from FC Porto last September, yet it seems as if a move to link up with Mourinho at Chelsea is being considered.

While Hulk was eager to insist his focus is on playing for Brazil in the upcoming Confederations Cup, the 26-year-old told reporters that a move to Chelsea was an option for him this summer.

"If I said there wasn't anything in it, I would be lying, but that is not for now," he said when quizzed about the links with Stamford Bridge.

"At the moment, I am 100% focused on the Selecao [Brazil team] and I hope to be a Confederations Cup winner with my country. It is a matter of great pride for me to be playing in the yellow jersey, so near to my family. Other matters will have to wait until afterwards."

A key figure for FC Porto in their Europa League triumph of 2011, Hulk has reportedly struggled to settle in Russia after his big money move and Chelsea's interest suggests he may be given the green light to leave Zenit less than a year into his stint with the club.

His initial welcome in St Petersburg was marred by a racism storm that blew up following his arrival, with sections of the Zenit supporter base letting it be known that they were unhappy with the arrival of a high-profile black player at their club.

Meanwhile, reports in Italy suggested Chelsea are stepping up their chase to land Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, who is strongly tipped to move to the Premier League this summer.
