Calicut International Airport (IATA: CCJ, ICAO: VOCL), also known as Karipur Airport, is an international airport serving the cities of Kozhikkode and Malappuram in Kerala, India. It is located in Karipur, about 25 km (16 mi) from Malappuram and 28 km (17 mi) from Kozhikode.
It was given international airport status on 2 February 2006.

  • the airport is a picturesque one. but the service and the officials are at the age of midieval time. we, malayalis, have to elect a local political party to the centre so that we can concentrate on our own issues rather than that of whole india, as the tamilasn and biharis do for their states. only through local political parties we can achieve anything in this age of coalition governments both in the centre and in the state
  • Kanhiraparamba,Manghattupeedika,Kondotty.
  • this airport was built by flattening so many hills of malappuram district and using this tons of soil for making aflat surface for the air port . Eventhough this is great boon to malabar most of people work abroad
