Westray Airport (IATA: WRY, ICAO: EGEW) is an airport located at Aikerness, on Westray in the Orkney Islands, Scotland. It is best known for being one of the two airports joined by the shortest scheduled flight in the world.
This route is flown by Loganair pilots using Britten-Norman Islander twin-engined aircraft, and typical flight times for passengers is between two to three minutes! The distance between the two airfields is about one and a half nautical miles. The route was once accomplished in 58 seconds by Capt. Andrew Alsop.
