  • Flew into Luton between 1999 and 2006 using EasyJet and saw it grow from a modest airport to a modern airport. I've found it conveniently located from downtown London (only 40 min by train to King's Cross).
  • Used to cycle up to the airport after school from Hemel Hempstead in 1973-74, in the days of Court Line, Britannia, Dan-Air and Monarch airways. The airport was a much cruder affair then, with only a small terminal building, but the planes were a lot more interesting - Bristol Britannias, Comets, Boeing 707/720s, BAC 1-11s and Court's two TriStars, plus the odd HS-125 coming and going. But still lots of 737s, just as now.
