A few years back, I don’t even know that Broga hills exist although it is just an hour drive from KL city center. Apparently I came to know it from a photography forum. The beautiful pictures posted in the forum pretty much inspires me to hike Broga hills myself. Last year I did climb the place twice. Below are some photos to share with you.
The hike up the hill will take a normal less exercised person as me nearly an hour to reach the top. I heard some fast hiker and extra stamina person did it in 30 minutes time. It would be best if you hike before dawn and reach the top to watch the sunrise at the peak.
Bear in mind, nowadays there are a lot of people going to this place. Therefore you might bump into a ‘traffic congestion’ while hiking. However, the view at the top is definitely worth the hassle.
Make sure u wear your sport shoes or hiking shoes. The route will become slippery if it rains the night before. In one of the occasion while I was up there, it rained heavily. The path became greasy and I saw those with flip flops and even crocs shoes were having a lot of problem getting down the slippery path. I even saw a few people fell down while getting down the hill.
There are no charges to hike up there but there are some dudes collecting parking fees at the parking area.
How to get there?
From KL city head to the north-south highway (south bound) and make your way out at the Kajang exit. After that you can refer to the map below
