Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft – is a four-engine turbofan cargo aircraft, able to operate from unpaved runways. This strategic airlifter was designed in 1960s by the Ilyushin design bureau in Soviet Union.
The UAQ IL-76 plane was built in 1975 for Soviet air force. Then – from mid 1990s – was operated by Air Cess, AirPass and Centrafrican Airlines (connected to the arms dealer Viktor Bout). In 1999 landed in UAQ Airport.
