ZAMBIA Airports Corporation Limited (ZACL) has announced that it recorded over two million general passengers in the year 2023. And ZACL says the increase in fuel prices in 2023 negatively affected the aviation sector in the country. In a speech read on her behalf by Communications and Brand Manager Mweembe Sikaulu during a media breakfast highlighting the activities of the institution in 2023, ZACL acting Managing Director Gillian Mazimba revealed that in 2023, the Corporation served 2,056,312 general passengers, which is the highest number of passengers it has recorded since its inception in 1989. “In 2023, Zambia Airports Corporation Limited served 2,056,312 general passengers which is the highest number of passengers recorded by the Corporation since its inception in 1989....
