Residents are being advised that the Canadian Forces Snowbirds will be conducting winter training operations at the Moose Jaw Municipal Airport from Jan. 17 to April 12.

The training is expected to consist of one flight per day, Monday to Friday. The CT-114 Tutor aircraft will be flying over the Moose Jaw Municipal Airport airspace to perform the training operations. However, takeoffs and landings will happen at the Canadian Forces Base 15 Wing Moose Jaw.

Winter training is for the Snowbirds show team to hone their routines before the 2024 summer show season. It's expected to be a busy year with the Royal Canadian Air Force celebrating its 100th anniversary.

All of the training operations have been carefully planned and will be closely controlled for the public's safety. Operations are dependent on weather and flying conditions. Because the training schedule is subject to change for multiple reasons, the Canadian Forces will not be publishing changes to the daily schedule.
