COOLERWORX - SHORT SHIFTER GENESIS COUPE (COOLERWORX-SSGC-08)

The build and the quality of this coolerworx shifter is top notch. I love that I can change the shift knob to my own if I want although its not the same thread pattern as my stock shifter, still neat to be able to change it.

Please note this is not a coolerworx issue, its a hyundai issue. I have a 2013 hyundai genesis coupe 2.0t base model. And apparently Hyundai changed the way they make the shifter on my car from what I see online or in the instructions. My stock shifter is bolted to the car going down into the transmission tunnel. So, I had to cut/grind out the old studs to fit this kit because my car isn't built the same as other 2013 hyundai genesis coupes. I believe that the Korean made models (mine included) have a vin that start with KMH and were made different then the american made models which had the bolts coming up from the transmission tunnel and not going down into it. So, before you make the investment make sure you know what has to be done to get they shifter in, because I wasn't prepared for this extra custom work I had to do, it took much longer to complete the install. If you are not comfortable grinding and cutting your car, before purchasing, double check your shifter bolt type to make sure you don't have to cut anything out. Otherwise, be ready to purchase a cutter/grinder separately to get this installed and be careful not to catch fire to anything when cutting/grinding. Also, be sure to rust proof after your cutting/grinding as you don't want to expose raw metal to the environment, it will rust very quickly.

Purchased the Coolerworx Shifter for my Genesis. This shifter is amazing. If you have a 6 speed transmission this is a definite must have. Thanks for everything Drifthq.... I'll definitely be buying more stuff from these guys!!!!!
