The Danish Export Credit Agency, EKF, is now expanding its foreign presence by opening new offices in New York City and Singapore, reports domestic business media Finans.

The two office launches are announced on the back of EKF now having provided credit facilities exceeding DKK 100bn (EUR 13.4bn) to offshore wind farms since 1998.

Helping companies at home gain export contracts is the main idea behind opening the new offices.

"Our purpose is to help Danish companies with their export and internationalization, and we are confident of our ability to provide Danish business with greater advantage by being closer to those making decisions on large projects around the world," says EKF Chief Commerical Officer Thomas Hovard.
