Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Boeing 777-300 aircraft got stuck on the threshold (turning head) of Runway 36L for around 52 minutes !

15 years old Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Boeing 777-300 (AP-BHV) got stuck on the threshold (turning head) of Runway 36L for around 52 minutes at Lahore International Airport (OPLA), Pakistan after the landing roll, while making a turn on 18th October.

 

 

The Aircraft was operating a flight PK9760 from Jeddah King Abdulaziz International Airport, (JED/OEJN) , Saudi Arabia to Lahore (Pakistan).

 



A tow truck was summoned to the location to push it from the stuck location and tow the aircraft to the gate. No further incident reported.

 

It is being learned that Lahore Airport's main Runway 36R/18L is being refurbished by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC); which includes improvement of drainage system for the runway.
