What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 1)

Took a splash because I ran out of fuel in between Halifax and Boston right by the islands before you hit the airport with the crj 900

Flew Wallops To Long Island in the Twin Beech. Calm winds smooth as glass. Great flight. Did some gusty crosswind landings. I still think it’s a bit rougher than it would normally be but still love the challenge.

Should have taken some screenshots.

A flight around Prince Edward Island - always liked the 80s film version of ‘Anne of Green Gables’. Found some old freeware mods - Anne Shirley house (now a museum) and lighthouses. Very nice scenery, though I don’t think the new WU did anything on the island. Tried out the civilian Action Pack, where the pax area is empty on the way and then they pop in - no animated walking in - and off you go. On arrival, they just magically disappear, one at a time again.
I also made the mistake of following some advice from Youtube that backfired - aliasing might be visible on the water in these images. I saved changing it for the next mission - film (only stills) at 11.

KBID to KJFK in the e110, KBID is really well done for scenery with a small airport

After a nice summer of airliners and nice weather, continuing my Greenland / Northern Canada tour, leaving Grise Fiord to Eureka Country Airport - todays flight is a bit of a challenge.

There is a storm running through Northern Canada (Grise Fiord area) since late on Friday evening.

See: Alerts for: Grise Fiord - Environment Canada

Anyway, thought I’d see how the Britten Norman BN-2 would handle that…

Waiting for the aircraft to “defrost”

Lining up for take off (hopefully)

Managing the carburettors is really important in this weather, almost forgot to check them here!

Now in the CRZ en route. Wonder what the destination will be like…

Route 66 final leg #3

Take-off from Santa-Fe Muni, south to Alburquerque and back on track.

This flightplan is really meant to be at low altitude, this is most relevant for legs #2 and #3.

Needles, CA.

Slaloming between mountains at low altitude. I didn’t realize it was that easy to fly through California when you know where to go.

Victorville, just before the last ridges to Los Angeles bay.

Loosing altitude coming to the bay.

Route 66 is done, let’s land in Burbank (and no, I don’t work at Buy More).

Safely set on the ground, that route was a tremendous experience and I’m grateful to Koschi for providing the flightplan. Definitely an experience worth it.

Sunrise flight. Started cold and dark at Eureka > Half Moon Bay safe on the ground. Hand flew the aircraft with FD showing me the way. Great way to start the day in the Beech.

Since the bush trips appear to have been fixed I’ve recently managed to complete the Nevada trip, been waiting a while to do this.

Flew and completed the Sicily trip and am currently flying the Patagonian trip.

The good thing is, when you restart the leg it does take you back to the point where the trouble happened.

Bought the Seafront Hawai’i mod which is quite nice with moving ships, commercial and military, that can land helicopters. As it did not do much for the city or Ford Island, I tried using the old freeware mods which worked out fine - though there a tad of overlap with the parked warships in Pearl.

CYEU (Eureka) to CJQ6 (Tanquary Fiord)

Snow storm for about half the journey, then just cloudy; with a break in the clouds for landing, which was good!

Hmmm… good job I brought plenty of fuel, not much here…

This area needs some WU goodness, but the weather is nice and challenging.
