LSZA Lugano

This is a rework of my original Lugano scenery to fit the X-Plane V 10.05r1version. Lot's of new building, churches and the Bellinzona castle have been added so as the soccer field just in front of runway 01. If you find some bugs, please report as detailed as possible so i can try to solve them. The scenery displays 13 villages around the Lugano area, i have done all this work for those who want's to fly VFR following ground recognition. hope you will enjoy it.

Animated Highly-realistic Airport
The history of the Lugano airport begins August 12th 1938 with the opening of a 1000 m grass
runway. During the period of the second World War the airport was open only for glider activity. On
May 16th, 1948 the new airport was officially authorized by the Federal Bureau of Civil Aviation, the
runway was lengthened and asphalted, the infrastructure enlarged and improved. 1966 the first charter
flights started, later Crossair started regular flights connecting Lugano to the most important Swiss
citys, Zürich, Bern, Geneva and Basel, and later other European airports like, Venice, Nice, Florence,
London, Rome, Munich, Frankfurt, Napels and Bologna. Today Darwin and Swiss are the only airline
based in Lugano with regular flights to, Zürich, Geneva and Rome, with more destinations to near summer vacation places.
The airport is only 3 km from my house and i enjoy seeing them from very close taking off and landing, especially at night and i almost feel like being in the cabin !
I started flying in 1962 with a Bücker Jungman and quit in 1995 but the fascination of flying never left me.
This is an update from my LSZA_Lugano_V10.35_D
All objects , including vehicles, Airport equipment , buildings, made by the author are made with SketchUp based on picture of the real buildings and structure of the area, 80% of them are there where they are in reality. I personally shot over 3000 photos and over 2500 hours of work to realize this scenery. Beside Agno It includes the Villages of Magliaso - Caslano - Ponte Tresa - and the city of Lugano, even the cemeteries are at the right place. This new version was necessary in order to exploit the new possibilities of X-Plane V 10.43.
completely new extensive night lighting for buildings streets and parking lots. Renewed airport lights, ground photos from farm,golf place, soccer field and parking lot wit the Licence from the “ Swiss Federal Office of Topography “, see attached pdf “ license of free geodata “.
To make sure all river of the area are visible download and install “ hd_global_scenery3 “

LSZA Lugano Airport & City

I have totally reworked The previous LSZA Lugano scenery to fit X-Plane version 10.22 32 and 64 bit.
rendering options in XP 10 allows to set the option road to "tons" with the result that houses and buildings that on
XP 9 could be placed anywhere now on version 10 were often sitting in the middle of a road. Therefore the need
to redo the scenery almost from scratch. I took the opportunity to add more buildings and nice detail to the scenery.
The scenery is fought for those flying VFR, beside the Airport itself i have added the city of Lugano and some typical
villages like Agno, Magliaso, Caslano and 4 other small villages alone the lake of Lugano.
There is no need for OpenSceneryX or other objects library, all objects are made with SketchUp from picture taken
in the area and reflect the typical house style of the south of Switzerland. The package is quite heavy ( 240 MB ) and
could have a impact on frame rate if running it with week graphics card or high rendering options, just find out for yourself
the best setting to still enjoy the scenery. The boats are from Mr. Dieter Rosenkranz ( Helgo ) with his permission to use them
in my scenery, thank you Dieter. Now, i hope you will enjoy it and get tempted to visit this beautiful region in the Canton Ticino !

LSZA_Lugano_V10.25_c
The LSZA Lugano is a scenery , not only an airport, with the city of Lugano, and the villages around the lake of Lugano, Agno, Magliaso, Caslano, Pura, Porto Ceresio and Melide.
I reworked The LSZA Lugano scenery from october 24th for a couple of reasons :
a) there was an obj. "parasole migros" creating a loading warning. Resolved !
added many nice details inside the boarding area, have a look at it, it is as real as possible, even the letterbox
is in the right place.
c) improved some night textures, now it looks a little bit more realistic.
d) added a seaplane ramp just in front of the city of Lugano.
again, all objects are made from picture taken in the area and reflect the typical house style of the south of Switzerland.
cranes and sailboats are from my dear friend "Helgo" Dieter Rosenkranz with his permission.
a special thanks to Dieter who was my teacher in the use of SketchUp initializing the passion for building scenerys.
To run this scenery you do not need libraries of any sort, just drop the file as it is into your Custom Scenery folder.
It is possible that even after several checks some objects may show up misplaced, there are so many that
it is almost impossible to check it all. Just report it, it will be taken care in a future version.
Note : the scenery was build for XP 10 and tested on V 10.25 r1, could not test if it works also with V 9
as i do not have V 9 installed anymore.
Hope you will enjoy flying around the area i live in as i do, with all the mountains and valleys making a VFR flight a one time
experience.

Very much improved version of my LSZA Lugano scenery, lots more details, correct taxi ways, soccer field with players and spectators,much better night texture, more obj. added for real VFR fan. now the scenery is 95% corresponding the reality, buildings and other specific objects are there where they should be and can be recognized from the air. i took some hundred more picture to improve the scenery.As for my last version of Lugano i have build 12 villages in this area for VFR flights.I hope you will like it and wish you a happy flight.
need to have OpenScenery installed. follow terrain in rendering option if on could cause some problem going from the apron to the runway.

Switzerland. Darwin Airline is based on this airport and has regular flights to Geneva, Zürich, Rome, Olbia and Cagliari. This scenery package is NOT a conversion, all the buildings, houses and other objects are the result of hundreds of pictures taken in the region. Beside the the airport the scenery contains 12 villages of the area, 4 rivers missing in XP original terrain have been added for VFR pilots. The airport buildings, taxilines and ramps are accurate in every detail, I have added roads with the relative traffic signs for a little bit of sightseeing, day and night, yes they are illuminated! Download the Landrover by Propsman ( to be found on the Org. Site/Ground Vehicles ) and drive around, it’s worthwhile. The package contains detailed PDF instructions on how to install and use the scenery.
The forests have been generated with OpenSceneryX poligons, therefore to avoid X-Plane failing to load you must have OpenSceneryX (1.9.5 or higher) installed. The scenery has been tested with XP 9.22, it may not work with earlier version.
The scenery is compatibile with CH-Switzerland Roads 0.02
To fully enjoy details, the following rendering set up are recomended : texture resolution-very high/ world detail distance-high/ forest density-populated/ number of objects-default/ airport detail-high.
Installation : unZip and simply put the resulting file into your Custom Scenery folder.
All objects have been created with Google SketchUp. The scenery was built using OverlayEditor from Jonathan Harris and World Editor from Ben Supnik.

This is a new updated version of LSZA V10 Lugano. All textures are in DDS format. A lot of new details have been added, some ramp position revised, ALDI new shopping mall is in place, the roundabout from and to the airport is 100% like the real one so as the football ground whit all the advertising panels ! and much more... take the time to drive around with a landrover or car, you will enjoy all the details, night flights are even more exciting. All obj. that where in conflict with
CH-Switzerland Roads 0.02 have been displaced or removed. Do not activate " runways follow terrain contours " this could make the aircraft to crash going from the apron to the runway.

The Buochs Airport (ICAO code LSZC Mil: LSMU) is a regional airport in the town of Buochs in the Canton of Nidwalden in Switzerland. It has a concrete runway with a length of 2000 meters and a width of 40 meters, several taxiways and hangars.The airfield is formally the responsibility of the Swiss Air Force, but is operated by the Civil Airport Buochs AG. Since 1 January 2004, the military airfield Buochs is a "sleeping base" of the Air Force. In case of an extraordinary situation the entire military infrastructure of the airfield can be made operational again.
Pilatus use this airfield for all test- and delivery flights for the products manufactured by Pilatus aircraft such as the Pilatus P-3, Pilatus PC-7, Pilatus PC-8D Twin Porter, Pilatus PC-9, Pilatus PC-12 and Pilatus PC-21

LSZE is a small airfield located in Bad Ragaz, deep in the Swiss Alps. It has a very challenging approach because of its proximity to the mountains and its short runway. This scenery only includes the Bad Ragaz airport. I recommend to use ortho4XP for more realism. Please keep in mind that THIS SCENERY HAS NOT BEEN TESTED, the libraries might not all be necessary, but i recommend you to install all of them just in case. Feel free to give me your feedback or to report any problem.

This scenery will install LSZH - Zurich Airport.
Zurich airport also known as Kloten Airport, is the largest international airport of Switzerland and the principal hub of Swiss International Air Lines.
It serves Zurich, Switzerland's largest city, and, with its surface transport links, much of the rest of the country.
The scenery is based on the default X-Plane scenery and makes use of the latest tools for scenery builders.
As such you need X-Plane 11.20 or higher!
This download includes two versions, one with and one without static aircraft.
The version without static aircraft has autogates and realistic airline codes at every gate.

- Autogate (for moving jetways)

I have added fully working airport services at this airport so don't forget to call them at the ramps
Made for XP11 ONLY as it uses the new terminal system in XP 11.20 Comes with static aircraft or non static aircraft files just choose one version . I do not claim it's 100% accurate depiction of the actual airport but close., this was a big build so I hope you like it .

LSZH Zurich, the main airport of Switzerland with autogate moving jetways.
Autogate parts are integrated in the default x-plane airport file.
Installation: unpack the file and copy into your custom scenery folder.
Take care to place it in your scenery_packs.ini above the Custom Scenery/Global Airports file.
Feel free to modify autogate parking by help of my tutorials "make autogate work".

LSZI Flugplatz Fricktal-Schupfart

Fricktal-Schupfart is a small airfield in northern Switzerland in the Jura/Fricktal Region.
It's located between LSZH Zürich Kloten and LFSB Euroairport Basel Mulhouse.
Close to EDTR Herten Airfield. (Also available in this Forum)
Airport is built for X-plane 10 with the Lego Brick system.
Libraries used are ruscenery, open scenery and the x-plane libraries.
Hope it works well as it is my first airfield.

LSZL Locarno Airport
Ticino, Switzerland.
LSZL Locarno is a combined military and civil airport located in Ticino Switzerland. The airport was inaugurated in 1939 with an air show, from 1941 all Swiss air force pilots start their flight training in Locarno. At this airport i obtained my PPL license in 1962 with a Cessna 150 CMS. This place reminds me so much my youth and the desire to fly. It is also a very important civil and military parachuting school. The scenery, made originally by Andreas Hegi in 2004 was for Microsoft Fightsimulator. It was converted for X-Plane in 2009 by Andreas for my personal use only. Since then i did a lot of rework, made over 250 photos to add and replace buildings and obj. that where not conform with the today situation. I have also added the City of Locarno and Ascona, all night lighting is new. All new obj. were created with SketchUp using photographs taken on site. The military vehicles and Pilatus PC 9 are from the original Hegi work.
Andreas Hegi has personally given me full permission to use all elements from his 2004 MSFS package with no restrictions in this scenery package .

It has been tested with X-Plane V 10.41r3, but should also work with at least back to V9.8

LSZO Luzern-Beromünster
LSZO Luzern-Beromünster 2.1, Switzerland
This is my first upload. Hope you like it.
The scenery is partly a conversion of the very detailed LSZO scenery for FS9 made by Andreas Hegi. He kindly allowed me to publish the converted and adapted scenery. See the original Readme-File for full credits and copyrights of that scenery. The scenery was converted using Marginal’s FS2XPLANE tool.
After the conversion I reworked the the apt and dsf files, mainly with the goal to optimize the scenery for the use with orthophoto underlay and additional OSM scenery. See the included readme file for the details.
1. The real one
The little airfield LSZO Luzern-Beromünster lies nestled between the two lakes of Sempach and Baldegg being actually closer to the village of Neudorf in the S than Beromünster in the N. It has two grass RWYs used by small to medium propeller aircrafts and gliders. Elevation 2146 ft (654 m ü. M.). The airport coordinates are 47° 11' 22" N / 8° 12' 16" E. LSZO is a good starting point for scenic roundtrips of the Lake Lucerne Area, the nearby alps of Central Switzerland and the Berner Oberland area.
2. The Scenery
The scenery covers the area of the airfield plus the neighbouring fireworks factory Bugano and some reference points in the area (the chapel of Gurmund, the church of Neudorf, the radio tower of Beromünster and some other buildings). Charts and documentation included.
The operator of LSZO has a special agreement with the surrounding villages to reduce airtraffic noise to a possible minimum. Here you will find the special rules for approaches on RWY 34 (German only).
Optimised for use with Simheaven OSM scenery, world2xplane scenery and ortho scenery.
3. Installation
Copy the unpacked folder "CH LSZO Luzern-Beromünster 1.0" in the "Custom Scenery" – folder of your x-plane installation.
4. Recommended settings
To visualize all light effects, HDR should be activated. "Runways follow terrain contours" should be ON

LSZP Biel-Kappelen

After taking a loooong look at the default LSZP I decided "No, I can't set my wheels on that ... THING ... !"
So I made a quick & dirty (man I'm running so out of time anyway) scenery of Biel-Kappelen because I have to go there soon.
Please folks, I didn't spend much time on this. It's actually VERY quick and VERY dirty.
So if anyone feels he or she could make it better take my stuff and go ahead, make it better.
It's a beautiful airstrip and it deserves to be taken care of.
Installation:
just put the "aaa LSZP Biel-Kappelen" into your custom scener folder.
If you got the usual libs you shouldn't have a problem

LSZQ Bressaucourt

LSZQ is a small airfield in the northern part of Switzerland. It opened in July 2011 and replaces the old grass strip of LSZY Porrentruy. This is my first rendition of an X-Plane Scenery, so please don't be too picky if not everything looks as expected. A few words about the scenery:
it is situated around 20 NM WSW of LFSB Basel Intl airport and features an asphalt runway of 800 x 18 m (2625 x 60 ft). The airport's elevation is 569 m MSL (1867 ft)
Orthophotos: as there are no public domain orthophoto available for this region I have decided to withdraw the ones I made for my personal use from Google Earth to avoid any copyright discussions.
Highway bridge(s) "viaducs du Creugenat": Actually I have modelled this excellent landmark situated just north of the airfield. Unfortunately none of the available meshes is accurate enough to allow depiction of the (landable) bridges. They would be buried below the grounds. As long as there is no possibility to create a local mesh for a specific airport in X-Plane, I'm afraid the bridges will have to stay out of the scenery.

LSZR - Airport "St. Gallen Altenrhein"

Hi Guys,
This time I uploaded the LSZR "St. Gallen-Altenrhein" airport in Switzerland.
Default airport comes from xplane 11 and was created by „Lunchod“
A few people have built this airport before, but the versions are older now. You can also buy the airport in xplane-store with super quality. My version is free and up to date.
I have removed wrong placed taxiway lights, put groundvehicles on the right track, because they are driving in front of the airport. Correct ground markings have been added and at the end of the runway there are now Jetblast barriers. Floodlights has been set correctly and the parking lot has been revised. A new tower has been added and ramp starts have been redesigned. Now you can drive out of the hangar. In addition, I have placed trees and fences. Also ships on the lake.
