  2. LWOH Ohrid "St. Paul the Apostle" Airport Macedonia

LWOH Ohrid "St. Paul the Apostle" Airport Macedonia Ohrid "St. Paul the Apostle" Airport is an international airport in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia. The airport is located 9 km (6 mi) northwest from Ohrid. The main purpose of St. Paul the Apostle Airport is to serve as a second airport in Macedonia and alternative to International Airport Skopje at Skopje and cater to flights bringing in tourists destined for Ohrid.
I have added fully working airport services at this airport so don't forget to call them at the gate
....My sceneries are made to be used with the default xplane default XP11 scenery ....
Made for XP11 ONLY as it uses the new terminal system in XP 11.20 Comes with static aircraft or non static aircraft files just choose one version . I do not claim it's 100% accurate depiction of the actual airport but close., this was a big build so I hope you like it .

  8. CZNL Nelson - Norman Stibbs Airfield

CZNL Nelson - Norman Stibbs Airfield v1.4

British Columbia, Canada for X-Plane v9+.

Care has been taken to recreate airport buildings as they appear in actuality and to a good degree of detail, and much of the surrounding scenery has also been developed. Objects have been placed as accurately as possible and I've tried to provide the best approximation of the Nelson town-site as I could, using default objects and the OpensceneryX library.
Sloped runways should be turned off for this scenery to function
properly. This scenery will conflict with the "Canadian Rockies" payware
scenery by Tom Curtis, as that package also contains a (comparatively
lean and easy-running) scenery for CZNL.

You may notice that a portion of the ground terrain overlay just east of the airport at the Chahko Mika Mall has been shifted somewhat to better accommodate the shoreline as defined by X-Plane terrain mesh. This scenery makes use of limited (and somewhat sketchy) night textures.

This scenery package uses scenery elements from the OpensceneryX library to add vehicles, buildings, and to flesh out the scenery. The airport will still load properly without having installed OpensceneryX, but without benefit of seeing these additional elements.

  9. XFOR Rannoch Forestry Camp - Into The Wilderness

    Scotland, UK
Welcome to Rannoch Forestry Camp.... after storm Arwen earlier in the year, there has been quite some clearing up to do. A beautiful spot never the less, so please enjoy some of the Scottish wilderness. Try out your helicopter skills!!
For the scenery to work as it does on my machine, you will need the latest versions of the following libraries: Handy Objects (7.80) , OpenSceneryX, 3D People, CDB, PM, World Models and MisterX, and a massive thanks to the authors for all their great work.  This has been lovingly created to work with Orbx True Earth Great Britain North, however should also be OK with the base mesh. I also use Airport Environment HD, ALES v2, SkyMaxxPro and Shade X, so you will need these as well if you want it to look like the screen shots. One final big thanks to Mr3D for allowing me to modify and use his animated people.
If you have all the latest versions of the above libraries installed you should be good to go, so to install the scenery, download the file, unzip the folder and place directly into your main Custom Scenery folder. Any issues just let me know and I will do what I can to fix them. I have also been experimenting recently with VR and it works well in my set up.
Constructive comments and feedback always welcome, and if you do decide to download XFOR,  please take a moment to click on the voting stars or leave a comment. Always good to get feedback.

  10. CA35 Marin Ranch

A small private airport in upper San Rafael/Terra Linda, California. It looked a little lonely all bare all by itself and since it is frequently used to go back and forth to KSTS (about 30 minutes NE of Marin in Sonoma County and another airport I am currently developing ), I decided it would be worthwhile to add some realism to it. If you are interested in more info about the changes I made please view "Readme.txt". Also, this is my first scenery package I have ever developed after only a short tutorial using WED so please leave me notes about what you like and don't like and rate it accordingly.

NOTE: Only for X-Plane 10 and above with OpenSceneryX installed. Also to those who are still using V9 and below, I highly recommend upgrading to V10 ASAP, it has so many amazing improvements!

  12. KXTA Groom Lake

I was rather shocked at just how far off the runways of the default KXTA are in X-Plane 10, plus the old ~23,000ft runway isn't used anymore, so I went ahead and rebuilt the entire airport.  I also added in the lake bed runways, 9L/27R, 9R/27L, 3L/21R, and 3R/21L.

The taxiway names are a guess since there's obviously no publicly available layout diagram for this airport. In my scheme A is North, B is center, C is South, and the closed runway is D.

    Update Version 1.1

VASI glide slope lights have been added to runway 14/32.

I'm working on making a relatively close approximation of Hangar 18, including the interior, so I added an "under construction" version of the model to the scene while I was at it.

    Update Version 2.0

I decided to call my model of Hangar 18 finished, and forum member ThePrivateer was kind enough to offer some aircraft models for the scenery, including the F-22, SR-71, C-130, and Janet 737.  I also added in more buildings, and I added in other objects such as parked cars that will render if set to "tons" or higher.  Freddy V seeded the idea for my Plumbbob Hood nuclear test model over in the testing range, though I may revise that model later.

    Notice:

Member ssharpe has offered to upload a version of this based on my files that is compatible with X-Plane 9, so stay tuned. I'll post a link to his upload here when I see it.

    Enjoy

  14. LECX Aerodrómo forestal del Cocoll 1.2 /

This is my rendition of the small yet spectacular mountain airstrip Cocoll in the municipality of Castell de Castells in the Valencian province of Alicante in Spain. Located at just over 1000 meters above sea level, Cocoll is a forest airstrip and base of the forest service of the Cocoll Fire Department. It offers a spectacular approach to a narrow gravel runway on a ridge in the fascinating mountains of Marina Alta on the Costa Blanca. In addition to the airstrip, Cocoll also offers a helipad for everyone for whom the strip is too narrow.
I tried to create the airstrip and its small apron as close to reality as possible. Because this area is also a popular hiking and excursion destination for tourists, I made the surroundings of the airstrip a bit more creative. And by creative, I mean that I like to incorporate a little humor into my sceneries, just as I try not to take everything in life too seriously.
But the following instructions must be taken seriously.
Important: The scenery works only and exclusively with the SpainUHD Photo-Mesh by @grrr05. Don't try to install it with any other custom mesh, custom orthos or with X-Plane's default terrain, it won't display correctly. And if you do it anyway, please don't complain that it doesn't work properly (leastwise not to me 😉).
It is also important that you have activated the option 'Runways follow terrain contours' in your XP settings.

Otherwise, Cocoll looks pretty much like a mesa than like a mountain:

In order to display the scenery correctly, the following libraries in their latest versions are required in addition to SpainUHD:
    3D-People-Library
    CDB-Library
    The Handy Objects Library
    Flyby Planes Library
    MisterX Library
    world models library
    OpenSceneryX
    RA-Library
    CCVA022_Object_Library
A huge thank you to all library developers and the creators of the standalone objects for their valuable contributions to the community.
Installation is as easy as ever and just like any other scenery. Download the zip file, unzip it and move the unzipped folder LECX... into your Custom Scenery folder. And don't forget to place it in your scenery_packs.ini above the SpainUHD-Mesh and also above Simheavens X-Europe or X-World-Europe, in case you have it installed. The scenery works in both XP11 and XP12, because I didn't use any new XP12 assets or any deprecated XP11 assets. However, I was only able to test it in XP11 because I'm still waiting for "XP12 out of the box". But I have it also loaded and validated in WED 2.5 for a kind of testing.
For a given occasion I have hidden a few "Easter eggs" in my scenery. If you find them, call the phone number provided (if you also have found it) and hope for someone answering. Because hope dies last, as you know...
And I hope lively you enjoy and wish a happy and vital Easter to everyone!
Speaking about a too narrow strip. For me there is no airstrip too narrow or too short for not trying something stupid just for fun.
Here is a video I have made in the setting of an earlier quick'n'dirty version of Cocoll in 2019, just for doing stupid things and having fun.
Addendum: Thanks @Iniguing for pointing out the compatibility issues between XP12 and SpainUHD I wasn't aware of. You can read more about it here.

  18. X-STOL virtual competitions

Interactive STOL competition scenario for X-Plane
This scenario was inspired by US National STOL competition.
You can find rules at National STOL website https://nationalstol.com/

Scenario resembles event schedule for 2024.
    Places/events included:
Swamp STOL at Jennings (3R7) Heritage STOL at Virginia Beach, VA (42VA) Arklahoma STOL at Patriot Airpark (????/XOKXX) Moses Lake Airshow in Moses Lake, WA (KMWH) Appalachian Mountain STOL in Clarion, PA (KAXQ) Sodbusters STOL at Hartford Muni (HXF/KHXF) Rocky Mountain STOL at Ralph Wenz Fld (PNA/KPNA) Oregon Trail STOL at Ontario Muni (KONO) Music City STOL (XNX/KXNX) Lonestar STOL at Sulphur Springs (SLR/KSLR) for events at new places I have to guess event area placement - I do not know these guys, and they do not know me, so no insider info
for others, videos from earlier seasons used as reference
where available, event area schematics was also used
when more schematics will be available as competition rolls out, updates to scenario may be made.
For Arklahoma STOL at Patriot Airpark I had to add airfield - there was none in XP11 and XP12 (using XOKXX as X-plane airport code for it)

Competition always initializes to fly into wind - active reference line and direction are marked with big yellow arrows
You need to go to reference line in direction indicated by yellow arrows and start marshaller’s gesture.
Move until the marshaller signals stop. At this moment you must completely stop (hold Your brakes until takeoff signal).
Take off only then marshaller signals you to.

For better understanding, marshaller’s gestures are duplicated by text on the TV.

Landing in the same direction as take-off.
When landing, be sure to fly over reference line.
Touching the main wheels before reference line counts as disqualification (Scratch). Marshaller signals that with blue flag.

Read the rules on National STOL website for better understanding.
Video from this review also helps

    Installation:
There are 2 variations of this package:
    - minimalist one does not require any libraries and a bit lighter on hardware req's
    - full variant attempting to match event's look and feel more closely, depicting more detail, requires libs:
    3D_people_library CDB-Library Handy_Objects_Library MisterX_Library OpenSceneryX PuF_Libs R2_Library If You want "minimal" - just unpack X_STOL_min.zip into Custom Scenery.
For "full" variant You need to obtain libraries (list above) and put into Your Custom Scenery
and unpack X_STOL_full.zip into Custom scenery.
Do not install both X_STOL_min.zip and X_STOL_full.zip!
Also, if You have XP11, and no custom scenery for KHXF, You can add KHXF_Hartford.zip
Do not use KHXF_Hartford.zip in XP12.

You can add Your own events into competition.
to do it, open scenario in WED, place x-stol.agp at desired airport/runway,
and add line "add_setup(lat, lon, hdg)" with lat, lon and heading values for .app copied from WED to X_STOL/plugins/xlua/scripts/x_stol/setup.lua

Do not forget to export scenery pack from WED.
all interactive features should be operational after that.
You can add competition at any flat patch of ground, but better place it near airport where You can begin Your flight.
fly-ins work fine, but it takes some time

    Competing / Multiplayer:
Currently there is no multiplayer support; partially because scenario is not cheat-proof (could it ever be? )
You could compete with these who You trust by setting same weather and sending screenshots of Your attempts to each other
In network MP You can see each other, but scenario will respond to local user's aircraft only. Also You all need to use same mesh (either default, UHD or autoortho). Default mesh in XP11 may differ from default XP12.
Maybe there will be "network hall of fame" of some sort in future, but I need to invent at least basic abuse protection for it to happen

    Tech details:
    X-Plane 11.50 and X-Plane 12 supported

When wind changes, scenario does not immediately change active direction (and active reference line when short competition area used)
You have to use "Start new competition event" (/mbn/stol/command/new_event) command registered by scenario to change it; this also resets best takeoff/best landing/best run stats on TV.
You have to assign this command to keybord or joystick button to use it.
Also, if You fly away couple of miles and return, it will reset automatically.

It was designed to "just work" with any aircraft, but sometimes it does not.
Most common cases are: taildragger-to tri conversion retaining tailwheel, or when aircraft author didn't mark tailwheel or nosewheel as "steering".
To fix this, per-aircraft "gear config" files are implemented.
If scenario can not detect Your stop when it should, it means some (phantom or rudimentary) wheels don't touch ground when Your plane is still. this could be fixed by autocreating per-aircraft config file. shut off the engine and hold down "autocreate config for current aircraft" (mbn/stol/command/patch_ac) command for 2 seconds or more. You have to assign that command to key or joystick button.
If scenario accounts for Your tailwheel/nosewheel (it should not according to National STOL rules) it can be fixed by manually editing per-aircraft config
config resides in aircraft directory and named after .acf file, with _x_stol appended to name and suffix changed from .acf to .txt
    it contains lines:
    gear_s = 1000000000 gear_t = 2220000000 where gear_s is override for "sim/aircraft/overflow/acf_gear_steers" dataref, and gear_t overrides "sim/aircraft/parts/acf_gear_type".
Whenever steering wheel is first or last one it's entirely up to aircraft author, I've seen both. So copying config created for one aircraft into another is bad idea (sometimes it works, but may break things too).
Again, normally You don't need this config at all. if it contains same data as these datarefs - it changes nothing.
only mess with it if scenario does not work otherwise for Your aircraft

This scenario uses xlua as scenery plugin. while quite uncommon, it appears to work in both XP11 and XP12.
When user aircraft uses same version of xlua, xplane tries to use same instance of plugin for scenery and for aircraft, breaking both.
But when versions are different, it loads one copy for scenery and another for aircraft, and everything is Ok.
So, this scenario uses binary-patched xlua plugin with its signature changed from 'com.x-plane.xlua.1.0.0r1' to 'com.x-plane.slua.1.0.0r1', this way it does not break even if aircraft uses same version.
windows binary is tested; macos binary is here but not tested; there is no gnu/linux binary at the moment (for some reason linux xlua binary does not contain its signature as cleartext, so it can not be patched same way as win & mac binaries. perphas someone can edit source and recompile? )

This also means that You can not add two or more (modified) copies of this scenario to Your Custom Scenery directory - two uses of xlua will clash.

    Known problems:
Replays currently don't work as they should. if You start replay when scenario is in "not started" state (bottom line on TV reads "not started") and jump (click on timeline) into earlier "not started" position, and then play it forward from that point, everything will act correctly. but if You jump into, or out of, any other state ("takeoff" or "pattern"), or play backward, scenario state will not update. It may end up wrong when You end replay.
To return to "not started" state taxi out of (or land outside of) competition area, or use "abandon current attempt" (mbn/stol/command/dq) command
"Fixing" replays is on long-term to-do list, but it won't be easy.
In this version state updates are blocked when sim/time/total_running_time_sec runs backwards - this prevents accidental cheats on score.
Still too far from "fully operational replays"...

Some models currently are suboptimal (too many polygons, no LOD, etc..). Optimizations underway, yet a lot to go.

In X-Plane 11 Global Airports, KHXF (Hartford municipal) runways are in pre-2020 state. X-STOL scenario lays incorrectly on top of this - competition area cross old runway 11/29 (which does not exist now).
Quick'n'dirty fix for this - KHXF scenario for XP11 with current runway & taxiway layout and other objects from old one.
In XP12 completely new KHXF scenario already is in Global Airports - so there is no problem.

  21. 0WA2 Curtis Airport

    Washington, USA

    For XP9.7

Curtis is a bit west of halfway between Olympia and Longview Washington State, USA. It's another rich-guy's private country turf strip in a lovely valley. It is 2135 feet by 80 feet and in good condition. From the ramp start, pull forward until you feel the turf smooth out then hang a sharp left and head for the other windsock.

I used custom barns and other objects of my own, including the trees and bushes.

Non-custom buildings are from OpenSceneryX. Grasses are by Simon W. Orthos are from the USGS map, processed in Gimp.

    OpenSceneryX is required.

  24. Lima (SPJC) for XP

Lima-Callao XP v2.0 (SPJC for XP)
Jorge Chávez International Airport (IATA: LIM, ICAO: SPJC, formerly SPIM), (Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez), is Peru's main international and domestic airport. It is located in Callao, 11 kilometers (7 mi) from the Lima, the nation's capital city and 17 km (11 mi) from Miraflores. Callao, a port city, has integrated transport connections with Lima. During 2014, the airport served 18,170,035 passengers. Historically, the airport was the hub for Compañía de Aviación Faucett and Aeroperú. Now it serves as a hub for many aviation companies. The airport was named after Peruvian aviator Jorge Chávez (1887 - 1910).
In 2001, in order to improve and expand its infrastructure, the government of Peru placed the airport under the management of Lima Airport Partners (LAP). LAP is now composed of Fraport and two other minor partners. The air traffic control is managed by the Peruvian Corporation of Airports and Commercial Aviation (CORPAC).
In February 2005, the first phase of a new renovation and expansion project was completed. This included the Peru Plaza Shopping Center and a new concourse. In June 2007, a four-star hotel, Ramada Costa del Sol, opened at the airport.
In January 2009, the second phase of the terminal expansion was commenced. The terminal has 28 gates, 19 with boarding bridges. In August 2009, the LAP announced that in 2010, the airport would have a new Instrument Landing System (ILS CAT III) to help with fog landings. 'Arquitectonica", a Miami-based architectural office and Lima Airport Partners planned a second terminal and expansion of the main terminal.
From 2010 to 2012, the LAP received the annual Best Airport in South America 2010 award from Skytrax.
In March 2010, the Sumaq VIP lounge at the airport received its second annual Priority Pass "Lounge of the Year 2010".
Transportation between the airport and the city is provided by taxis, tour buses and vans. Airport Express Lima is the official bus of Jorge Chávez Airport and operates between the airport and Miraflores. Line 2 and Line 4 of the Lima Metro is currently under construction, with a airport rail station terminal expected to be open by 2019.
The airport hosts the Ramada Costa del Sol hotel which is located adjacent to the control tower and the arrivals exit. The hotel is built with noise canceling panels. The Peru Plaza Shopping Center is located near the passenger terminal in the Grand Concourse area. The food court is located near the entrance of the passenger terminal on the second floor and is always open. There is an ice cream vendor selling some special Peruvian flavours such as Chirimoya and Lucuma.
The airport has various premium lounges in the departures terminal, such as VIP Peru. For passengers in First class, there is an exclusive salon near the gates, the VIP Club.
On 12 May 2009, the airport opened Lima Cargo City, a hub for cargo airlines.

  25. SBAF - Afonsos

To install, simply extract the scenery folder into ... X-Plane 11 \ Custom Scenery folder.
For the correct operation, make sure the scenery is above “Global Airports” in your “scenery_packs.ini” file. The library used was based on version 11.33 of the X-Plane.
    Enjoy

Campo dos Afonsos is a neighborhood of the middle zone of the middle class of the city of Rio de Janeiro, belonging to the region of Realengo, where the Afonsos Air Base is located (BAAF / SBAF), base of the Brazilian Air Force established in the Garrison of Aeronautics dos Afonsos. Campo dos Afonsos is also known as the birthplace of Brazilian aviation because its history is confused with the history of aviation in Brazil. It was from 1941, with the creation of the FAB, which was officially designated as Afonsos Air Base. Source: Wikipedia.
