  2. 7S0 Ronan Montana

At 4798 feet in length, 7S0 Ronan is the longest paved runway on the Flathead Native American Reservation,. It is located 3 miles North of the Town of Ronan, and is about 10 miles South East of 8S1 Polson. 7S0 Ronan is Primarily a general aviation airport serving the towns of Ronan and Pablo. It will be of special interest to aerial firefighters, as it is also the home to the Division of Fire Management Headquarters. This division of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Foresty Department is responsible for coordinating all firefighting activities with outside agencies on the tribal lands. There are two marked helipads, as well as other support for aerial firefighting aircraft.
7S0 Ronan is an un-towered airport, with 24 hour self service fuel (100LL and JetA). All onsite facilities are represented as accurately as possible using available library assets. I have also tried to create a good representation of the surrounding area in the landing pattern and approaches based on actual land use as closely as possible.
If you are using the standard mesh, or fly with "runways flattened" you may want to delete the hedges I placed around some of the buildings farther back in the hangar area. With the UHD Mesh from AlpilotX there were some "floating buildings" due to terrain that I was able to camofoliage with objects and hedges, but if you don't have any floaters back there, things will look better without them. They can be easily located and removed with Overlay Editor if desired. Getting it to look good with the UHD mesh was pretty difficult, so I am leaving the modifications in for now.
This file was created in X-Plane v10.51, but it should work fine in v-11 as well.

  3. Yuma International Airport

    Yuma (KNYL) for X-Plane 10 (and possibly for X-Plane 11) - Skylark2992 (01/05/18)

Hello, and welcome to Yuma (KNYL). Yuma International Airport is a joint use airport with civilian and military flight activity operated in conjunction with the U.S. Marine Corps via the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. You can find out more about Yuma here: https://www.yumaairport.com/yumahome.nsf Yuma is located in south-west Arizona, USA, and is approximately 140nm south-west of Phoenix (KPHX) and approximately 10nm north and east of the  border with Mexico. Yuma also home to Million Air's Flight Base Operations (FBO), an interesting mural wall and a large array of solar panels.

I decided to convert an FSX airport originally created by Sheryar (Shez), who kindly gave me permission to convert and to upload a reworked version of his FSX airport for X-Plane. I chose Yuma also because about 18 months ago, just before I embarked on a pretty big life-changing event, I had the pleasure to do some flying with a fantastic pilot who completed some of his flight training out in Yuma. I like to think that our paths shall cross again, but in the mean time there is Yuma and X-Plane with which to reminisce.

I have tested this scenery with X-Plane 10 v1.51rc2 (64-bit); however, if it does work for X-Plane 11 then please do let me know so I can update this description. Shez's permission is available on request - please feel free to ask me if in doubt, I won't be offended. Airport charts are included too. The RWY21 ILS and GS details are included in the scenery folder in case you need to add or to edit them, but they should be present in X-Plane 10 by default.

This airport is a simple rework and is lacking traffic routes and some ground markings plus any ground traffic due to skill and time limitations on my part. Please feel free to edit this airport but if you do, please send me the modifications so I can upload them to respect Shez's original work - you will of course be credited fully, as will Shez for his original work. At this time (May 2018), this scenery is designed to work with Ortho4XP orthos (https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/29120-ortho4xp) using Arc ZL16 (other sources may work equally well or even better).

You can find my other sceneries here: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/profile/248513-skylark2992/&do=content&type=downloads_file&change_section=1

  4. TQPF

I have added a ton of objects that really bring the scene to life. Also created from photos as well as Ortho overlays for guidance TQPF. This is four of a set of four island airports I am uploading. Objects are mostly from the Laminar library but there are some from MisterX so make sure you download his library. If you like this airport add a like and feel free to come by my streaming channel at https://www.twitch.tv/dayzing and let me know what you think. These are for xplane11.
MisterX6 library and 3D people library are needed.
I intentionally left out screenshots because I wanted everyone to discover the little things i put into them.
If you fly in the Antilles... get all four SABA, TFFG, TQPF, and TNCE. They are all close to one another and go very well together.

  11. ULSG - Gostilitsy Airfield, St Petersburg, Russia.

Gostilitsy Airfield (УЛСГ/ULSG) is the biggest GA Airfield in Northwest Russia. It's located just south of St. Petersburg and serves multiple air clubs, housing over 100 aircrafts.
This is my rendition of the airfield with library objects and compatible with XP11. (Orthophotos not included)
Please note that I have no WED experience and made it from my own photos, memory and low quality orthophotos. However, the default XP11 scenery is completely in 2d, missing 2 aprons and multiple parkings, so I decided to make this. I hope you enjoy it.

  13. Canada_SK_CYYO

Wynyard/W. B. Needham Field Aerodrome, (IATA: None, ICAO: CYYO), also known as Wynyard Memorial Airport, is located 2.2 nautical miles (4.1 km; 2.5 mi) north of Wynyard, Saskatchewan, Canada   Wynyard is a town in eastern Saskatchewan, Canada, 132 km west of Yorkton and 190 km east of Saskatoon. Wynyard is in but not part of the rural municipality of Big Quill No. 308. It is located on the Yellowhead Highway just south of Big Quill Lake.   Reference:
    Wikipedia 2018
Personal comments:   Not to be mistaken with another airport of similar name in Tasmania, Wynyard airport is a very humble affair. I was considering giving it a pass as there is hardly much to model except 4 structures to which time might not have been very kind, if I can judge from the fuzzy Google map satellite picture. However, this airport does stand right besides two large lakes called the Quill Lakes. "Quill Lakes is one of the key breeding ground areas for North American populations of waterfowl and other migratory birds and shorebirds. The area is a major shorebird staging area in the spring and fall with numbers ranging from 60 000 to 155 000 birds." according to this article.    There are a number of similar small airfields in this region
    Wadena Airport (CKS7)
    Quill Lake Airport (CKE2)
    Kelvington Airport (CKV2)
    Lanigan Airport (CKC6)
    Naicam Airport (CJR9)
    Humboldt Airport (CJU4)
    Watrous Airport (CKU7)
    Ituna Airport (CJM2)
Imperial Airport (CKU5)   Unfortunately these seem to be destined to remain  simply hard to find (from the air) grass and dirt strips in X-Plane because in reality that is what most are. Unless there is a demand for any of these, I may pass them by as well.   Wynyard airport  is at an elevation of 1,746 ft  / 532 m and the single asphalt runway , 09/27 is just over 3000 ft, 915 m. There are several modelled airports in this region, including, Corman air Park, CJN5 on the outskirts of Saskatoon, Yorkton, CYQV to the SE and close to the Manitoba border, Rosetown, CJX4 about 260 km due west and a few others in the Saskatchewan series. I would suggest flying NW to CJN5 and into more interesting terrain to North Battleford, CYQW for a lovely afternoon flight in the Canadian prairies.   In a separate download you will find FMS flight plans to some other airports in the Saskatchewan series, all originating from this airport. Put these plans in your X-Plane 11\Output\FMS plans folder.   Enjoy your flight.   Installation:   Put unzipped folder, Canada_SK_CYYO in X-Plane, Custom Scenery folder. Restart X-Plane. If scenery does not show up, make sure that it is above Global airports and any Mesh Scenery you may be using,  in the scenery_packs.ini file. Remember to disable other sceneries of the same airport, if you have any. If the scenery does not look like the pictures, then you must have picked up another scenery in your Custom Scenery folder. If you receive any error messages during loading, please update X-Plane to the latest version.   Do not be misled by the tiny size (Less than 30 kb)of the file. This is a LEGO-BRICK scenery and uses the megabytes of art assets  already included in your installation of X-Plane. It will compare favourably, at times better, to other (much larger sized) sceneries of this area and will probably exceed your expectations. I believe that in order to enjoy a flight simulator you shouldn’t need to fill up your computer with gigabytes of data or  rely on many third party libraries unless of course you fly exclusively in one small area.   Important Note:   Even though there is no tower at this airport and all traffic is CTAF (Common traffic advisory frequency), I did put in a tower in order to animate AI aircraft. Without it there would be no traffic. In all other details and placement of buildings etc. I have tried to keep this as realistic as possible, artistic license notwithstanding. Note: The version I have submitted for future releases of X-Plane on the Gateway site will only have CTAF frequency but in all other respects, the scenery is identical. I am trying to recreate  smaller, often neglected Canadian airports that do not get much TLC in X-Plane (or in any other flight Simulations). I like to be as realistic as possible with the limited library I work with. I do not have the tools to recreate the details that make an airport look as it looks in  "real life", for example, the discarded fast food container stuck in the fence; the puddle of oil; the crack in a hut window; the bald patches of grass and a myriad other details that you would see in real life. The photos I download and the satellite maps I use as reference are not always up to date and even if I wanted to painstakingly recreate every actual structure, this is impossible to do with the library I use and still keeping it a LEGO_BRICK airport which I want to do so that it is included in future releases of X-Plane. Therefore, in order to keep my airports as appealing and interesting as possible, I do include trees, where no trees may be at the moment; the odd store and gas station or fuel supply.
Of course, it takes away a little from  reality but (strangely enough), this actually adds to the realism in a scenery.   Equally Important   Please take the time to rate and leave a short comment or constructive criticism so that I'd know I am on the right track with these sceneries. I understand that one normally doesn't return to the download page after you've installed the scenery but try anyway. Comments do motivate scenery designers!   Also please report any bugs or problems you come across while using this particular scenery.
Thank You and  Enjoy the scenery!   MSF ( Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières)   Like yourself, this organization flies all over the world and they do tremendously good work. If you like this scenery, please consider giving a small donation to MSF.

This scenery pack contains the aerial lift bridge and Ward Wells Field House in Duluth, MN.  I will soon have updates with more buildings in downtown Duluth and UMD.  The canal park area looks a little better with ortho4xp installed, which I can't include because of copyright, but the scenery will work without it, especially at night.  If you have the knowhow and the hard drive space you can use ortho4xp from this site.  And I noticed x plane 11 version of the canal is even worse than x plane 10, so I highly recommend ortho4xp or something better than default.

  18. LOWG_Graz

This scenery will install LOWG - Graz Airport.
Graz is located in southern Austria (Styria) and its airport sees regular traffic from airlines like easyjet, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines,
KLM, Turkish Airlines plus a number of charter airlines.
The real airport has a very unique looking terminal building which is hard to replicate with library objects, but I hope
this is a good enough imitation that will give you a good idea of what it looks like.

    Built and tested in X-Plane-11.11!

To Install simply unzip the downloaded file and copy and paste it into .../X-plane 11/Custom Scenery
    Required:
    - Mister X library
    - GT library (ground textures)
    - Openscenery X
    - Autogate plugin (there are no gates, but I have placed Marshallers that will guide you in)
    Enjoy! :-)

  21. LOWS _ Salzburg Airport

This scenery will install LOWS - Salzburg W. A. Mozart Airport.
Salzburg Airport is the second largest airport in Austria and is located near the Austrian alps. The mountains make for a great backdrop
but also make flying in and out of the airport quite challenging.
Initially I just wanted to make some improvements to the default airport but by the time I had finished I had almost completely re-built the whole thing.
This airport is built on a slope which makes the terrain very challenging. I tried my best to deal with it. This is only my second X-Plane scenery!
    Features:
    - Night lighting
    - Moving ground vehicles
    - Marshalers at all airline gates
    - Staring points with correct airline codes

    Built and tested in X-Plane-11.11!
    Required:
    - Mister X library
    - Cami De Bellis (CDB) Library
    - RE_library
    - Openscenery X
    - Autogate plugin

  22. NZPN Picton – NZ Stories 02

First of all, this whole project is designed around trying to make things to fit with the Lyndiman ortho. It’s good so it’s worth the effort of the download and you can find it here.
    https://lyndiman.com/category/flight-simulation/
I guess making your own ortho will work too (but I don’t know) although if you just use default stuff then my airports may look a mess.

This is NZPN Picton which is on South Island in New Zealand. From the Gateway version I’ve placed some buildings of approximately the right footprint size in approximately the right place and added other stuff to make it look nice. It’s still more of an artistic licence airport rather than correct to real life but you can race a train now with a railway being next to the runway so that’s quite fun. (PS - if you haven’t got a railway running full length you might want to have a look at my included tweaks document

The NZ stories. - As well as the airport there is also a document called “The NZ Stories 02.” The story involves five airports from me which I’m going to upload in this batch. It also involves NZCH but there is already a good sceneries by others for that, details in the document. The NZ Stories are a little route with missions and a reason why you’re going to be making the trip to the airports to help bring things to life. It’s a bit of stupid fun and you might enjoy that kind of thing or you might not so it’s up to you.
This one does follow on from NZ Stories chapter 01 and make reference to it so to get the best out of all this it would be best to do chapter 01 first. If you do follow the story then it would also be better to not visit my airports first to have a look around. Let the story uncover some easter eggs for you as you go along.

Other contents - There is a small document which has info abut other tweaks I’ve done to my X Plane to make things look as they do in the photos. It’s there if you want to have a look.

Installation - Usual stuff, download, unzip, put in Custom Scenery, moan at me in the comments section if it doesn’t work.

Libraries - Seriously, just search for the master list of libraries and download the lot of them. I haven’t used all of them but by the time I finish with New Zealand I may well have done and with other people making other nice scenery it’s just useful to have everything.

    Additional Libraries.
I don’t think these are part of the master list so you also need this one
    https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/32135-world-models-library/
And this one but just the Overlay download part. I’m fairly sure you don’t need to touch the mesh part of the download if you don’t want to.
    http://www.alpilotx.net/downloads/x-plane-10-new-zealand-pro/

Credits - Big thanks to Mr Lyndiman for the ortho, Robin Corn and Tim Barnes for permission to use their house objects, the creators of WED and Overlay, Laminar Research and also coffee…  especially the coffee.

Donations – I don’t have a lot of money but your donation probably isn’t going to be big enough to be life changing for me. So if you feel my efforts are worth a small reward then please give a donation to somebody like Cancer Research instead where your little bit of cash might end up being life changing for somebody else.

Comments. I know people don’t often bother to write comments and that’s fine but if you do have a minute to spare I’d love to know what people think of the story part. If you find it a nice addition and bit of fun I’ll carry on doing them but if nobody is bothering with the NZ Stories missions then I might decide to save myself the hassle of writing the stories to go with future airports. Thanks in advance if you do make a comment about that.

This is NZHK Hokitika which is on South Island in New Zealand. This was a Mr Lyndiman airport that he corrected to match his ortho. From that version I’ve replaced some buildings of approximately the right footprint size in approximately the right place and added other stuff to make it look nice and played with the terminal building. The terminal still isn’t a great match compared to real life but it’s better than default objects which is what was there before. So as usual this is an artistic license airport but it’s better than default and hopefully fun to use.

  24. NZTL Tekapo – NZ Stories 02

This is NZTL Tekapo which is on South Island in New Zealand and actually my favourite real world town from my two visits to NZ. If you get the chance do go there, it’s stunningly pretty.
Anyway, from the Gateway version I quickly noticed (on my set up anyway) that there was a big ridge running through the back part of the apron. My current skill level means I’ve no idea how to fix that but my creativity level means you may not notice there is a ridge anymore now. You’ll understand if you download it. I’ve also given a bit of an upgrade to the observatory area on Mt John and the main street in Tekapo now looks a bit more true to life as long as you don’t fly too low or look that hard.

This is NZCS Cromwell which is on South Island in New Zealand. From the Gateway version I’ve placed some buildings of approximately the right footprint size in approximately the right place and added other stuff to make it look nice. There is an extra shed as well to cover a parked plane blob on the ortho tile so it’s still more of an artistic licence airport rather than correct to real life.
