  1. SVLE-La Esmeralda V. 1.0

    SVLE-scenery V.1.0 for X-Plane (tested in XP 11.40+)
This is my rendition of the airport and the village of 'La Esmeralda' (ICAO:SVLE) on the river Orinoco in the Amazonas state of Venezuela. It is situated a little south of the impressive 'Duida'-mountains.
La Esmeralda marks the turning point of the scientific journey to the American tropics by Alexander von Humboldt and Aime Bonpland. They explored the River Orinoco travelling upstream with the aid of indigenous people operating the canoes. Humboldt described La Esmeralda as a rather poor village. As you can see, it still is. It profits from the Orinoco but sometimes also gets heaviliy flooded by it during the rainy season. Residential infrastructure has improved but still numerous huts exist. Additionally, La Esmeralda now is cut in two by a 2000 m runway serving the Venezolan military garrison, mainly. No professional carrier operates flights to SVLE, but it is reachable by air, at least. The catholic mission provides school education and is the cultural centre.
As compared to photographs, I hope the scenery does not seem rather a touristic village, but what it really is: a still underdeveloped spot in the tropic forests of Venezuela. Also, one thing has not changed since Humboldt's visit: The moskitoes and the damp-hot climate. Please try to imagine this in case you should find the place too idyllic .
The basic information about La Esmeralda is rather thin. Should any of the villages inhabitants (or the local military persons) object to my partial guesswork, I will gladly incorporate any information to improve the rendition. One source of information was the video by cavemanusa.com: 'https://youtu.be/fvYSXwaGCLE'. Orthophotos were compiled from Google2019.
SVLE-scenery will be complemented by a SKPD-scenery, Puerto Inirida in Columbia. To be published soon.
    Technical notes:
At the X-Plane Scenery Gateway there is no SVLE scenery which means it does not show up in any navigation database. Therefore, navigation so far is a matter of using Inirida-VOR and San Carlos de Rio Negro-NDB as GPS cannot yet be programmed for SVLE. RW13/31 is really a RW14/32 due to the large local magnetic deviation.
There exists really no permanent landing aid except the airport beacon. Several buildings are custom made. The 'hangar_wood.obj' was included from the 'madagascar_lib' library.
The scenery has been developed for the use with 'OrthoXP' data. Apologies for the road traffic with cars (too many, for sure) sometimes vanishing into thin air, but the OSM-data at least provide important information about the street- and lighting infrastructure.
    Installation Notes:
Drop the following folders into your 'Custom Scenery' folder
    SVLE
    SVLE-osm
    Libraries required:
    R2_Library
    OpenSceneryX
    CDB-Library
    handyobjects

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
NO commercial use of any of the scenery's parts is allowed, only private non-commercial use in the X-Plane simulator!
    ENJOY!

  2. RWY26 Simulations B733_CAY Fix

This is FAIB's B733_CAY file that RWY26 Simulation's MWCR scenery throws up an error for.
    INSTRUCTIONS:
Place all three files, 733.dds, B733_CAY.obj, and FAIB_737_300_LIT.dds directly into the X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\RWY26_MWCR folder. (Not the objects folder).
This will fix the error that is put up when loading the MWCR scenery. There was a missing AI Boeing 733 in the Cayman hangar.
Original model by FAIB/Erez. Compiled for X-Plane by roymar and Jiggyb2.

    Howdy
after a request to make a paint for Jaques Brault F-84f from Germans Luftwaffe i was asked if exist a scenery of Hopsten for X-Plane. Nothing found and also tried to convert an FSX scenery but nothing was able. So i started to make my own scenery of Hopsten , and finally here it is.
Rheine-Hopsten , a military airfield near Münster-Westfalen in Germany close to the the Dutch Border. Hopsten is out of service since 2005.
opening in the WWII and after serviced by British Forces. Then passed to Bundeswehr-Luftwaffe. First Planes of Luftwaffe was F-84F and the Starfighter F-104. Final planes were the Phantom. Couldn´t find Phantoms as static object so i put Starfighters and F-84f.Hope you like the scenery. Made in X-Plane v9.7 don´t know if it works in V10. If someone use it in v10 please let the community know. Ratings and comments are welcome
If somebody could explain how to make that all the part of the scenery is the same altitude when option "Runways follow Terrain" is nor activated" would be nice and helpful.

  9. EGTR Elstree Airfield

    Hertfordshire, England.
This is a modified version of Mercedes's superb EGTR. I have written permission from the author, see below.
As I fly in real life from EGTR, i have tried to move a few things, add a few things to make the simulation as realistic as possible.
I have moved parked planes to reflect a normal busy day at the field. Added a heli on the heli stand as there is always at least one there. Added a fuel pump station where the station actually is.
Most of all I have moved and "planted" trees where they actually are, not just at the edge of the runway but also near the school as you approach Rwy 28. this to add perspective and realism for practicing Touch 'n'go at EGTR.
I have also added those damned bushes near the holding position at rwy 08, those you always almost hit with the port wing. One night someone will chop them off!
Hope you guys find this useful. Thank you again for Mercedes's kind permission, reprinted below.
    Hi almostpilot,
Thank you for your compliments on EGTR scenery.
I hereby give you my permission to make all the alterations and improvements you think necessary.
    All the best
    Mercedes
NOTICE: I am afraid OpensceneryX and ruscenery needed for this file. Made for V9 and 10, tested in 10 only.
This scenery will work very well and look seamless with UK photosceney installed (I have the pay ware on sale at the org) and the superb autogen which adds building etc to the photo scenery, made by Bluebotle, to be found at
    http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=19694
To do next: i will add the signage for taxiways A, B, C, D, E as soon as I have time and post a v.2.1

  14. EGNI Skegness

This is my version of Skegness EGNI in UK,England,Lincolnshire. A very bland airfield in x-plane's default world. In real life, caravans are a gigantic landmark, so it started with caravans ... hundreds of caravans for hour, after hour ... after hour. Luckily this turned out to be a powerful meditation exercise, and the tinkering grew and sprawled into the three folders offered here today. Extract them from the zip file into your Custom Scenery directory. The filenames are numbered and should self-organise when x-plane restarts. You won't need the local orthophotos folder if you have ORBX truescenery or Ortho4XP. They just provide a little more convincing field boundaries near the airport. It's not quite realistic but I'm a fan of ScottishWings, so the aim is if you believe you're there, then that's real enough. Apologies for the disrepair of the F6, but I'm not a mechanic.
The package xpects the following libraries to be installed. opensceneryx, handy objects, CDB library. Other objects are either custom (Main Hangar and F6) or should have been included locally with the X-Publish tool. These statically linked objects are drawn from the Devinci Library, JB Library, Madagascar Library, MisterX Library, PuF Libs, world models, ruscenery Headwind_Grain_Land_Library, gt_library. Thanks to the authors for making this possible.
The orthhophotos are tweaked and post-processed Googlle geotiffs. If there is any copyright issue these may be removed.
Let me know if it's all broken.

Screenshot generated using Ortho4XP, at level 16 detail, using EOX/EOX2 orthophotos.
Aujuittuq -- the place that never thaws. While global warming may make quick work of that in the near future, back in the 1950s, it must've been as close to to a living hëłł as the Inuit could imagine. Nobody dared stray into the area, except for the strange Tuniit, a few adventurous hunters from northern Greenland, and a ship full of hardy Norsemen at the turn of the 20th century. Never did any of them attempt a year-round occupation of the unforgiving northern wastes. Then came the Cold War, and the Inuit -- who were little more than E-numbers to the Canadian government at the time -- found themselves the unwitting pawns.
The Crown had tried for several centuries to assert its sovereignty in the north, attempting a number of expeditions starting from the time of Sir Martin Frobisher, who discovered the eponymous bay in 1576 and claimed it for the Queen. These territorial claims were never backed up with occupation, however, and the native people had no title to the land -- merely the right to live on and use its products. That changed in 1903, when a Northwest Mounted Police outpost was established on Herschel Island. Further expeditions during the 1920s established RCMP outposts at Pond Inlet (1922), Pangnirtung (1923) and Dundas Harbour (1924). Ellesmere Island -- that vast expanse that Otto Sverdrup tried to claim for Norway -- was not exempt, receiving 2 RCMP postings at Craig Harbour (1922) and Bache Peninsula (1926). From those, exploratory patrols were conducted in which a census would be taken at Inuit hunting camps, and Canadian law explained.
In 1953 and 1955, families from Pond Inlet and Inukjuak were told of plentiful game in the far north. Should they agree to relocate, they would be housed and educated; and, should the living conditions be unsatisfactory, they were promised the option of leaving in 2 years' time. In reality, the wildlife that these southerly Inuit were used to encountering -- eiders, Canada geese, shellfish and Arctic char -- was sparse. Edible vegetation such as cloudberries, was all but absent. Winter brought with it months of continuous darkness, and the summer unrelenting sunlight. The RCMP shot the Inuit's dog teams, forcing them to resort to ski-doos. The relocated families were made to live in ramshackle shelters with ice for walls and boards for doors. Even for a cold-adapted and resolute people such as the Inuit, the conditions were fatal. One of the original emigrees, Larry Audlaluk of Grise Fiord, recounts that his father had passed away within 6 months of the relocation. The trauma of it all would cause him to become an alcoholic.
Being that this resettlement was Canada's claim to high Arctic sovereignty, the government reneged on its promise. The Inuit were now forced to stay on Ellesmere and Cornwallis islands.
Eventually, the survivors sussed out the beluga whales' migration routes, and would hunt for them over 18,000km^2. Arctic char -- which appeared around Ellesmere Island in the 1960s; ringed seals, caribou, Arctic hare, and Arctic fox make up the remainder of the exploitable, local wildlife. A formal apology for the ordeal was issued by the Canadian government in 2010, and $10 million paid out to the thousands of people affected. The families that were dropped off on Ellesmere Island now call themselves the Aujuitturmiut -- the people of the land that never thaws.
However, even though the Aujuitturmiut now know how to survive, they still suffer from some of the highest food prices in Canada. Jobs that pay a wage are few and far between, and non-native settlers' increasing revulsion to the products of the hunt -- namely, the furs -- is an endemic problem throughout Inuit territory. $10 million, divvied up amongst thousands of people, can only go so far when grain products cost $238 apiece, and milk $136 (as of 2016). As Larry Audlaluk comments, "You can't eat full recognition." The holdouts at Grise Fiord, whose numbers are decreasing year-on-year, are vocal in their demands for adequate relief from the government that had put them there in the first place. So far, that relief has not been forthcoming.
About the airport: the placement is approximate because SlippyMap doesn't have high-enough resolution imagery. And, whatever imagery it does provide, it seems to be "off" from the mesh that Ortho4XP generated. So, only the apron, terminal, and some tangentially-associated buildings were placed.

  18. KBFM Mobile Downtown Airport/Brookley Feild

Mobile Downtown Airport is located just outside of Downtown Mobile Alabama. Mobile Downtown currently mainly serves as a cargo airport with daily FedEx A300 flights as well as the occasional 757 and UPS flight and the most recent addition the Airbus assembly plant which assembles the A320Neo Family and the A220 faamily. The airport is also a popular executive airport due to it's proximity to downtown and the Signature Flight Support FBO. The airport also holds an aircraft refurbishing company which occasionally gets flights from commercial aircraft. The airport shortly held Frontier Airline flights however those have since been discontinued.
This release of the scenery has used other scenery libraries to help with the improvement of the cargo area as long as the airport as a whole.

  19. Canada_SK_CYEN

Estevan Regional Aerodrome, (IATA: YEN, ICAO: CYEN), is located 3 nautical miles (5.6 km; 3.5 mi) north of Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada.
During World War II the aerodrome was part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. In 1946, more than 20 personnel of the Royal Canadian Air Force were killed at the airport when the C-47 Dakota transport carrying them back to Canada from the U.S. (to which they had been ferrying surplus military trainers) crashed on the airport. Estevan is the eighth-largest city in Saskatchewan, Canada. It is approximately 16 km (9.9 mi) north of the Canada–United States border. The Souris River runs by the city.
    Reference:
Wikipedia 2018   Here's a link to the official page of the Estevan Regional Airport.
Personal comments:   It would be nice if every airport in this series could generate the same wow factor as that inspired by larger airports such as KJFK, KBOS, KPHX, CYYZ or CYVR but the fact is that many airports in Canada, especially those in Saskatchewan (with maybe the exclusion of those in Saskatoon and Regina) are humble, utilitarian and just practical little airports. A lot of these have very few structures and many runways are either gravel, dirt or grass. As a result, they tend to be neglected by scenery designers looking for the effect. Consequently VFR flying in these regions tends to be boring and unappealing because one is forced to land on desolate strips with nothing more than a runway and a computer generated taxiway. Compound this with flying over a terrain as flat as a billiard table and you may want to slam into the ground just for some excitement.    Estavan's airport, CYEN like its rural cousins is another country mouse but maybe slightly more sophisticated because it does have more than a couple of buildings and being very close to the US border and North Dakota is popular with flyers South of the border. The airport is at an elevation of 1,904 ft / 580 m and has two asphalt runways (Yeah!) 08/26 at 5,003 ft or 1,525 m and 15/33 at 3,001 or 915 m. The closest airport in the Saskatchewan series at the moment is Carlyle, CJQ3 only around 80 km to the NE. From there you could  head straight North to Yorkton, CYQV which would be about 180 km into slightly more rugged terrain. You may wish instead  to head to Minot International, KMOT for the US experience. Take your passport with you.   New: In a separate download you will find FMS flight plans to some other airports in the Saskatchewan series, all originating from this airport. Put these plans in your X-Plane 11\Output\FMS plans folder.   Enjoy your flight.   Installation:   Put unzipped folder, Canada_SK_CYEN  in X-Plane, Custom Scenery folder. Restart X-Plane. If scenery does not show up, make sure that it is above Global airports and any Mesh Scenery you may be using,  in the scenery_packs.ini file. Remember to disable other sceneries of the same airport, if you have any. If the scenery does not look like the pictures, then you must have picked up another scenery in your Custom Scenery folder. If you receive any error messages during loading, please update X-Plane to the latest version.   Do not be misled by the tiny size (Less than 30 kb)of the file. This is a LEGO-BRICK scenery and uses the megabytes of art assets  already included in your installation of X-Plane. It will compare favourably, at times better, to other (much larger sized) sceneries of this area and will probably exceed your expectations. I believe that in order to enjoy a flight simulator you shouldn’t need to fill up your computer with gigabytes of data or  rely on many third party libraries unless of course you fly exclusively in one small area.   Important Note:   Even though there is no tower at this airport and all traffic is CTAF (Common traffic advisory frequency), I did put in a tower in order to animate AI aircraft. Without it there would be no traffic. In all other details and placement of buildings etc. I have tried to keep this as realistic as possible, artistic license notwithstanding. Note: The version I have submitted for future releases of X-Plane on the Gateway site will only have CTAF frequency but in all other respects, the scenery is identical. I am trying to recreate  smaller, often neglected Canadian airports that do not get much TLC in X-Plane (or in any other flight Simulations). I like to be as realistic as possible with the limited library I work with. I do not have the tools to recreate the details that make an airport look as it looks in  "real life", for example, the discarded fast food container stuck in the fence; the puddle of oil; the crack in a hut window; the bald patches of grass and a myriad other details that you would see in real life. The photos I download and the satellite maps I use as reference are not always up to date and even if I wanted to painstakingly recreate every actual structure, this is impossible to do with the library I use and still keeping it a LEGO_BRICK airport which I want to do so that it is included in future releases of X-Plane. Therefore, in order to keep my airports as appealing and interesting as possible, I do include trees, where no trees may be at the moment; the odd store and gas station or fuel supply.
Of course, it takes away a little from  reality but (strangely enough), this actually adds to the realism in a scenery.   Equally Important   Please take the time to rate and leave a short comment or constructive criticism so that I'd know I am on the right track with these sceneries. I understand that one normally doesn't return to the download page after you've installed the scenery but try anyway. Comments do motivate scenery designers!   Also please report any bugs or problems you come across while using this particular scenery.
Thank You and  Enjoy the scenery!   MSF ( Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières)   Like yourself, this organization flies all over the world and they do tremendously good work. If you like this scenery, please consider giving a small donation to MSF.

Sint-Jan Hospital near Bruges is an important medical heliport. It's proximity to the Belgian coast makes it the go to hospital for the SeaKing and its follower.

  22. CYDA Dawson City Airport

This is scenery of Dawson City Airport. It looks very nice with Ortho Photoscenery (not included).
Airport is located in Dawson City, Canada. Beacause of two mountains that are in front of runway approach is very hard. Airport does not support night opperations beacuse of no lightning. My favourite route to his airport is: Whitehorse - Dawson City using b737-200 (It operates here).

  24. LFBY Dax

Dax seyresse (LFBY) is a french airfield located in the south west of France.
The airport has one paved runway (800x40). This airport is used by the french army for the helicopter pilots training. So, you will see a lot of helicopters on the airfield.
    Website of the aero-club : https://www.aeroclubdedax.fr/
This scenery was created with custom made buildings and hangars (no "lego") based on real pictures,
However, some libraries are needed for standards objects (see below).
Installation : just put the directory "LFBY Dax" in your custom scenery directory. Tested with X Plane 11.50 without Vulkan.
The following libraries are needed (https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/category/165-libraries-for-scenery/) :
    Openscenery
    CDB
    handy objects
    3D people

  25. LFQF - Autun Bellevue

    OpenSceneryX Tuile "+46+004"
