  1. YSRN Strahan, Tasmania

I got sick if there being no scenery available for this airport, so I decided to throw together something real quick. You'll require OpenSceneryX in order to use this airport. Orthophotos shown in the preview images are not included.
This is my first scenery, so be gentle!

  4. YSCB Canberra Overlay

Adds the new $480 million dollar 'AirVolution' passenger terminal and ramp to the airport. The airport improvements took 4 years, finishing last year. There's info about it here.
This package is designed to overlay the VOZ scenery (link below), but is not dependent on it. However, it does not include a complete representation of the airport building-wise.
Recommend VOZ package from Baz Roberts site: http://www.bnasroberts.net/XPScenery/Australia/Entries/2013/9/15_Aussie_Scenery_Packages.html
    Uses OpensceneryX for static aircraft.

  9. YRTI_Rottnest_Island

    Information:-
Rottnest Island is approximately 20 kilometers of the coast of Perth West Australia.  Its a very popular holiday destination and is host to the world renowned Rotto Swim held in February every year where over 4000 swimmers endure the Indian Ocean for 5 to 8 hours racing from Perth to the Island.
I started building this scenery several months ago as my very first attempt at using Sketchup & Gimp. I have created a number of photo realistic buildings including the terminal and the old Kingstown Barracks which are now used for holiday accommodation.

For this scenery you will require:-

    - OpensceneryX

    - Madagascar

    - Ruscenery

    - Static_GA_Aircraft_Australia (link below) which is a library created by me and also posted today.

  10. YRR Stuart Island Airpark (X-Plane 12)

The Stuart Island Airpark is located near Vancouver Island just 28 nm north of the Campbell River Airport (British Columbia, Canada). This private airpark is within walking distance of some gorgeous resorts located along the water's edge.
This airport is unique because the terrain falls away at a steep angle on both the approach and departure ends of the 2200 foot runway. Brian Flynn takes the credit for creating this airport a few months ago. But due to the abrupt change to the terrain elevation, the  mesh file (+50-126.dsf) needed to be edited / updated. So now with these latest changes you can enjoy the breath-taking views a pilot would experience when flying into or out of this airport.
    Installation:
    1) Extract the "YRR Stuart Island Airstrip Pvt" and the "+50-126" zipped files
    2) Copy the entire "YRR Stuart Island Airpark Pvt" folder into your X-Plane 12 "Custom Scenery" folder
    3) Copy the "dsf" mesh file (+50-126) into your "Global Scenery" folder
    NOTE: full path is "X-Plane 12\Global Scenery\X-Plane 12 Global Scenery\Earth nav data\+50-120"
I also recommend that you rename your old "dsf" file with the suffix of something like "+50-126.dsf.OLD" for safe keeping.
    Enjoy

YPPF Parafield Airport and Adelaide City Photoreal
    Version 1.1 Update
    Mar 09, 2013
The International Scenery Development Group (ISDG)

    __________________________________________________________

    1.1 Update:

    - Made city replacement terrain files "less green" by tightening the shrub overlay textures.
    - Added night _LIT textures to the city; hence nighttime flying now looks like XP9 rather than completely dark.
    - Fixed an over-sized DDS Texture - This scenery now loads in XP9 via the Compatibility Library.

    XP9 Users, you can download : http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=18141

    __________________________________________________________

    Requirements:

    - X-Plane 10.20 or better

    - OpensceneryX 2.0 (http://opensceneryx.com/)

    - A Modern Video Card with minimum 512 Mb VRAM, 1 Gb is highly recommended

    - Ability to run at "Very High" texture resolutions (with compression enabled), else the effect is lost.

    - X-Plane 64-bit and a 2 Gb VRAM Video card is recommended for the Highest Texture resolutions.
(No... We're not kidding... we will use every ounce of VRAM you have!)

    __________________________________________________________

    Installation:

Unzip and place folder "YPPF Parafield Airport and Adelaide City Photoreal" in your X-Plane/Custom Scenery/ folder.
    - If VOZ is installed, then "YPPF Parafield Airport and Adelaide City Photoreal" must come before VOZ in the "scenery_packs.ini" file.
    - If you are installing this for the first time, this scenery will automatically be placed first (which is correct, and will work immediately)
    Uninstall:

Delete the "YPPF Parafield Airport and Adelaide City Photoreal" directory from your X-Plane/Custom Scenery/ folder.

    Requirements:
    - X-Plane 10.20 or better
We know the art library in the 10.20 beta runs may change, if it does, we’ll issue a fix.
    - OpensceneryX 2.0 (http://opensceneryx.com/)
    - A Modern Video Card with MINIMUM 512Mb VRAM.
This scenery (Plus X-Plane 10) use ~500 Mb of VRAM when loaded at “very high” with compression enabled.
    - You will want to run this scenery at “very high” or “extreme” Texture Resolution.
    - X-Plane 10.20 64-bit and 1 Gb VRAM Video card is recommended for the Higher Texture resolutions.
    - Charts for YPAD: http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/aip.asp
    __________________________________________________________
This scenery is designed to work best with:
    Vehicle Library Extension (http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/files/file/125-additional-vehicle-library-extension-xp9xp10-isdg/)
    FlyJSim Asphalt Textures (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=16270)
SkyMAXX sky colouring using “Vivid Skies” (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=15821)

    Wide Taxiway Markings (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=18490)
    __________________________________________________________
    Still to fix:
    - Some buildings are still a little too “glow in the dark” at night.
These are converts from AussiePak1 which were toned down, but could use some HDR lighting instead of _LIT.

  25. Young Island airstrip YI01

This is made for the second fuel stop on your route from New Zealand to Antarctica. This is a fictional airstrip on the rocky beach of Young Island which is completely uninhabited in reality. To feel the true explorer's spirit i would recommend not to use modern equipment but dead reckoning or celestial navigation instead. Turn on your chrono, calculate wind and drift, don't forget to correct the gyro and try not to get lost somewhere over the cold southern ocean. Check out my another Subantarctic scenery - Macquarie Island airport. With these two locations you should be able to takeoff from New Zealand, cross two oceans and reach Antarctica in a small or medium prop aircraft which range is limited to 1000 nautical miles. Believe me, when after 5 hours of flight without radio navigation over boundless waters a small lonely island will slowly appear below horizon, you'll realize you're worth something...
Airport has gravel beach runway 1330x35 meters (4350x115 feet). That is enough for aircraft with up to 100 KTS of approach speed. Beware of sloped runway and snowy hill before northern threshold which is hardly seen during approach. One guy took a bit too low on glide path and his Cessna thanks to it's red fuselage works now as a marking sign on the hill, so you probably shouldn't make the same mistake. This guy now lives at the airport and he is the only person on the whole island. Once a year a small marine vessel comes to refill the airport's fuel tanks and leave some goods for the guy. The guy built a wind turbine and a VHF antenna and now he has some electricity there to light his house and apron, and he runs ATIS at 120.000 MHz, so you can listen to weather as you are nearing the island and can make decision to divert to alternate (if you have one). Runway thresholds are still lit with smoking barrels cos the guy don't have enough wiring to power light bulbs there. There is also plow-equipped 40-yeas old Toyota pickup to keep the runway clear of snow and seals. Avgas, Jet-A, engine oil and anti-icing fluids are available via hand pumps.
Installation: Antarctica (Part 2) v4.0 (!!!) by maps2xplane required!!! Without that scenery you will not have mesh of the island itself. And where are you flying anyway without Antarctica installed?
Put extracted folder to your Custom scenery folder. Several libraries used, refer to the master libraries list please.
I strongly recommend checking "runways follow terrain" option on to get realistic sloped runway and apron.
Good luck. Hope to see you at the South Pole.
