San Carlos Bay with task force

This is a rough up of San Carlos Bay sometime around 1982, NWW and North of Port Stanley is the RN task force, you may land on the decks of the carriers. This is for local use only and will not be submitted to the global system (there already exists a grass strip for San Carlos). If you look on the map you may find a very large sealane TSKF within which is found the Royal Navy. Helo/VTOL pads may be found on carriers and some frigates (but not in the task force, because of a geo' size limitation on the map.

NZPI Parakai– NZ Stories 07

There is a document in this download called “Upgrades.” Do read it as I’ve removed some of the weird story telling items from some sceneries so they return to more normal airports again and also improved some of my other old airports too. The document tells you what and where to get them from.
This whole project is designed around trying to make things to fit with the Lyndiman ortho. It’s good so it’s worth the effort of the download and you can find it here.

This is NZPI Parakai which is on North Island in New Zealand. From a gateway version I’ve done the usual of adding library objects in about the right place to make it more interesting and a bit better than the default version
The NZ stories. - As well as the airport there is also a document called “The NZ Stories 07.” The story involves five airports from me which I’m going to upload in this batch. The NZ Stories are a little route with missions and a reason why you’re going to be making the trip to the airports to help bring things to life. It’s a bit of stupid fun and you might enjoy that kind of thing or you might not so it’s up to you.
Each chapter does follow on from the last and make reference to it (and also the random photos I keep putting in each download) so to get the best out of all this and not be confused by it then you should start with chapter 01 and do them in the right order. If you do follow the story then it would also be better to not visit my airports first to have a look around. Let the story uncover any easter eggs for you as you go along.
Other contents - There is a small document which has info about other tweaks I’ve done to my X Plane to make things look as they do in the photos. It’s there if you want to have a look.
Installation - Usual stuff, download, unzip, put in Custom Scenery, moan at me in the comments section if it doesn’t work.
PS – I do sometimes miss comments so if you post one and I don’t reply in a day or two then send me a private message instead as I will get that.
Libraries - Seriously, just search for the master list of libraries and download the lot of them. I haven’t used all of them but by the time I finish with New Zealand I may well have done and with other people making other nice scenery it’s just useful to have everything.

LFOW Saint Quention Roupy

Saint Quentin Roupy is a french airfield located north of France South west of the city of Saint Quentin (hauts de France). Saint Quentin has also another airport
: Péronne saint Quentin (LFAG).
This scenery was created with custom made buildings and hangars (no "lego") based on real pictures.

Also I highly recommend Simheaven europe ( https://simheaven.com/simdownloads/x-europe-4/ ) : 7.6 GB compressed, but its worth it.

2B3 Parlin Field

This is my first airport using WED. 2B3, Parlin Field, is located in Newport, New Hampshire.

The original airport in X-Plane was badly misplaced by a good 3,000 to 4,000 feet to the North-West and the grass runway was not oriented correctly. This version has the runways perfectly placed and oriented. I modeled the airport as best I could only using objects in the Laminar Library so the airport could be resubmitted to the Scenery Gateway. The base mesh will not be correct until Laminar re-cuts the base mesh using the new airport boundaries.
As I said this is my first airport so go easy on me but that said I welcome your comments and ideas for improvement.

NZTA Te Aroha – NZ Stories 11

This is NZTA Te Aroha which is on North Island in New Zealand. From the gateway version I’ve added a few things but to be honest there’s not much there in the first place and I’ve had to take a bit of a guess at which strip is actually the runway. They have grown a hedge with the name at the end of one of the fields but it covers part of two grass strips and even from the road in Google street view there’s nothing to hint which one is actually the runway. I’ve gone with the one closest to the buildings as there seems like there is a gap in the ditch leading to what may well be hangars so that sort of made sense. The runway is set to transparent but it is there and can be made visible in WED although if you leave it like it is then best of luck finding the place especially if you’re flying visually with Mr. L’s ortho because you will be looking for one flat field in the middle of lots of flat fields. The drainage ditches might help you a bit though.

SGME Dr Luis Maria Argana Intl

Dr. Luis María Argaña International Airport (IATA: ESG, ICAO: SGME) is an airport that serves the small city of Mariscal Estigarribia, in the Boquerón Department of Paraguay.
The airport is named after Luis María Argaña, a vice president who was assassinated in 1999. It is operated by Paraguayan military authorities. GlobalSecurity.org states that some believe the United States are using the airport as a permanent military base. However, they go on to say that this is false.[3]
With 3,500 m (11,483 ft), its runway is the longest in the country, more than Asunción's airport.

FACT Cape Town International Airport
Cape Town International Airport (FACT) is the second largest airport in South Africa, after Johannesburg; the third largest in Africa and a major gateway for tourist traffic. Located approximately 20 kilometers (12 mi) from the Cape Town city center, the airport was opened in 1954 to replace the Cape Town Municipal Airport in the suburb of Wingfield.
Cape Town International Airport is the only airport in the Cape Town Metropolitan area offering scheduled passenger services. The airport has direct flights from South Africa’s other two main urban areas, Johannesburg and Durban, as well as flights to smaller centers in South Africa. This is XNZCV Culverden which is on South Island in New Zealand. 4 of the 5 in this batch of the NZ Stories are smaller airfields where I’ve not managed to find a lot of info or pictures so there’s a bit of artistic license gone into this one. So it may not be entirely accurate but at least it is another one ticked off the list in my mission of trying to replace every default airfield in New Zealand, it looks ok and it’s better than the default version.
