About This File

1Q-CYYB-(Canada-Ontario)LENEO0fe
LowerEast NorthEast Ontario
Scenery 1 of 4
First Edition
CYYB: North Bay Jack Garland Airport

Overview
--------------
This scenery series (LENEO0 through LENEO3) covers all airports, aerodromes, floatbases and heliports from 45 degrees, 30 minutes north (just north of Huntsville, Ontario) to 47 degrees, 30 minutes north (just south of Temiskaming Regional (Earlton, Ontario)) and from 78 degrees 30 minutes west (encompassing Mattawa, Ontario) to 80 degrees 30 minutes west (the eastern edge of Georgian Bay). There are 22 places in total to fly in and out of! Each scenery package in the series contains the relevant aerodromes as well as select scenery for VFR routes and deeper forests, townsites and objects. Of note, CYYB is rather object heavy, thus it has been given its own package for those who want to minimize any frame rate loss or aren't interested in VFR scenery outside the boundary. Those of you who wish to have additional scenery experiences, including accurate, developed VFR routes, will want to grab LENEO1 as soon as its released (very shortly; it's almost complete as of February 1st, 2011), as it is the scenery that surrounds CYYB, including a well-developed and moderately used float base at the edge of the city on Trout Lake!

Included in Package:
--------------------
In the zip file you will find text documents covering more detail on CYYB, VFR routes and other important details. Also, there is a developed database with relevant information for this airport as well as the 21 to follow in the other scenery packages in this series. There are facility plates for YYB, an airport sketch, some screenshots, a couple of maps and other sundry items meant to make your experience at CYYB as enjoyable as possible.

The "IMPORTANT" file within has full credits and disclaimers, but I must specifically thank two of this packages primary benefactors; Nick Ward and Jacques Brault, for without their generous support and open sharing, this package might have never seen the light of day. Thank you gentlemen; you are a testament to all that is good about the X-Plane community.

There are others to credit as well; Open Scenery X contributors for objects and the likes, bretts and ottopilot9 for their contribution of a medical helicopter, others also for individual objects (see abovementioned file) and of course Ben and Jonathan for their awesome tools, without which no amount of convincing would have had me scripting this airport smile.gif

The second edition will not release until 3 things have occurred... 1> I build the custom objects and textures that are needed to replace some of the generic units, 2> X-Plane 10 is released and finally 3> X-Plane 10's scenery rules still make the project viable in its current form.

Thanks to all of you for a great X-Plane experience and the opportunity to share back with you what many of you have given freely to me.

Happy Flying.
