About This File
This is a conversion of the scenery of NFNB_Bureta (Levuka) Airport Fiji Islands for FSX by that great New Zealand scenery designer Lawrie Roache. I am sure that there a lot of X-Planers from New Zealand who will have heard of him, or who used his scenery in FS2004. I was delighted to read that Lawrie is back with South Pacific Flightsim Scenery designed for FSX and that he has given me permission to convert them for X-Plane, as long as I credit the original authors, which I gladly do. So, all credits for this scenery are due to Lawrie Roache and to ROBIN CORN and TIM BARNES for the free VLC Object Libraries which formed the basis for Lawrie's original scenery.
I will only do a conversion if I feel that there is not a current X-Plane scenery which already does that airfield justice (including my own early conversions of Lawries FS2004 sceneries!)
This is from Lawrie's original "Read Me" for NFNB: "Welcome to Bureta (Levuka) Airport, located on Ovalau Island, in the beautiful Pacific Paradise that is the Fiji Islands.
This is an airport that was not included in FSX, and as such, has been built to fit
the default elevation levels of the surrounding landscape".
This airport was converted and built in XP9, and, in my opinion, looks really good. XP9 doesn't have this airfield at all as a default. It also works well in XP10. Intermittently, I have seen a ridge run across the runway in XP10 which can be almost eliminated by running with "Runways Follow Terrain Contours ON" (the ridge is also there using the default apt.dat) but again it appears intermittiently. There is also a slight intrusion of weed onto the runway edges in XP10, which actually looks quite authentic.

Download from Shade Tree Micro Aviation at http://shadetreemicro.com/index.php/scenery/madagascar (Unzip the archive, open "MBA_110" and place "000_Madagascar _Lib" into your Custom Scenery folder)

Installation. : Download and Unzip the NFNB_Bureta (Levuka) Airport Fiji Islands scenery. Place the scenery into your Custom Scenery Folder.
