CDG Posted October 2, 2018 Share Posted October 2, 2018 (edited) CDG is pleased to announce that it is currently working on Brisbane International Airport. We have prepared some screenshots to show the progress and are happy of where it is at and hope to release this project in time for the November AIRAC which will change the designation of YBBN's current runway to 01R/19L. CDG Posted November 11, 2018 Author Share Posted November 11, 2018 Thanks for the comments everyone...we are almost ready to release version 0.9....it will have a few things missing still like the Air Train, some roads to international terminal, etc...but all items on the "air side" are done.... We were also hoping to release a file with the ILS frequencies for the new runways but we need to wait for the "go ahead" from the powers that be to use them....hopefully we get it. We are also hoping to have the support structure for the approach lights to rwy 19R in place....it is quite a peculiar structure and we have modelled it in Blender, but we had to make a lot of changes as we dont want it to be too heavy on framerates....anyway, will see how we go. We have not yet finished the AirTrain but we will add at a later stage....and we also hope to be able to soon provide a file to enable the ILS on the new runway....we have the details and we have created the file but we don't yet have the go-ahead to share. CDG Posted May 10, 2019 Author Share Posted May 10, 2019 ok we are close to the next update...just need to texture two gates.... We have replaced Autogate with SAM....the results are MUCH better, particularly in the international terminal. We have made a few modifications to positions etc, and extended the lighting around the airport. A new Ortho file will also be available...we will continue to update it as work goes ahead (slowly) on the future western terminal. Overall, this will bring us closer that what should have been the proper release....we will continue to update the airport...as we know....taxiway Y2 is still undecided if it will go ahead....the ASA "S" Building is being gutted and will change...and a few other changes in the pipeline for the international terminal...all of these will go ahead as we get confirmation of the projects. CDG Posted June 18, 2019 Author Share Posted June 18, 2019 Just a quick heads-up....a mini update (0.98) will follow soon...the changes are...correct Ground radio frequency areas with signage as well as "removal" of two taxiways which will be decommissioned later this year to pave the way for the amended traffic flow off runway 01R/19L. We are also aware of more changes that will come to the Domestic and International apron, we will implement those as soon as they more from plans to work in real life. CDG Posted September 28, 2019 Author Share Posted September 28, 2019 Small update will be forthcoming by end of year...position of some of the signs has changed in the master design so we will incorporate this in our version as well. Also some of the GA taxiways etc will change, and this will be amended in the next version. We have been made aware some members of our community are using our model as base for "their" version of BN and releasing/about to release in their own name.....this is disappointing but really does not bother us....we have 3 members of our team actually working in the real-world YBBN model and procedures so we will not be providing someone else's work and calling it our own, we will provide our fellow fliers with the most accurate rendition as it happens.
