Flying the Route 66 path, newly uploaded to the files. I'm in the Cessna 172 SP at 2000 feet, flying along at the breakneck speed of about 120 knots. I've just taken off within a half hour ago from Chicago Midway Airport KMCW and am following the signs for the sights of interest. Pretty much an all VFR flight for the duration across the US to Upland, CA. As is typical in the midwest, the clouds and weather come and go fairly quickly. I have the GTN 750 with me and when I tire of flying for the day, we'll look for a small airport to overnight.

Freight flight from Gatwick London (EGKK) to Heraklion Crete (LGIR) in the SSG B747-8F.

My best landing ever at -4.43. I really don't know how I did that but l'll take it for the VA 🤩

<Darling?> <Humm?> <Lisbon> <Do I know her? Is that the one with the weird shoes?> <No. And they aren't weird, they're eclectic.> <Tomarto, Tomayto> <Portugal> <But of course, I'll get the key>.

Taking the STOL version of the Cessma 172SP for a trip from Santarém Airport (LPSR) to Lisbon Cascais-Tejo Regional Airport (LPCS), so that I could fly around the Lisbon scenery I brought in a recent sale. I think it looks really nice at dusk / dawn - light enough to see the detail, dark enough to have the lights on.

I've been neglecting my aircraft that beat the air into submission for a while, so tonight I thought I'd fly up the Winooski River Valley with the Bell 412.

I hope the first picture answers a question someone once asked, "Why is the word Heritage upside down in the picture?" Well, it was meant to be read going west to east, and I took the original picture from the east looking west.

Next, high speed, low pass over the Williston Armory. And then I tried to get cute and reload the aircraft to turn off experimental mode, and the sim crashed. (I have two helicopters that are really not fond of experimental mode and they won't go fast if it's on.).

If someone is going to go to the trouble and expense of building a nice, sealed runway extension, you might as well use it . . . . . . all of it !!  Perhaps next time I land the Aerobask Phenom 300 at London City (EGLC) I might apply the brakes a bit sooner after landing ! 🙂

Here is a couple of shots on my initial leg of Route 66. Made it all the way to Staunton, IL.
