anthony_d Posted June 28, 2022 Share Posted June 28, 2022 So Malmo Sturup Airport is the 4th busiest airport in Sweden, and pre-pandemic levels it saw just under 2 million passengers takeoff and land here. The version on the gateway dates back to the year 2014. It is a old airport in gateway terms, and so I thought it needed a major design. Fun Fiction: Ikea ordered by accident equal quantities of yellow and blue paint for their stores. Now their stores use a lot more blue than yellow. So what did Ikea do? They advertised free yellow paint to anyone who could take it! So who took it? Why, Malmo Sturup airport of course! Well, if it isn't true, then never let the truth get in the way of a good story! Airline Codes have been applied to all the terminal and cargo terminal gates. Domestic closer to the departure hall, international further away. One gate is being "renovated". Terminal building is redesigned, and I wanted to get the roofing details looking good, as well as the dark void underneath the terminal building. Drop off Car park in front of terminal building Hangar Zone, with cargo facilities behind Firefighting practice area Flying club. Like Karlstad, this is essentially it's own little airport, linked to the main airport with a paved taxiway this time.
