  1. LPIN - Aerodromo de Espinho

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Espinho Airfield (ICAO: LPIN) is a recreational aerodrome serving Espinho in northern Portugal.
Originally built for the military, the aerodrome was later reduced in size and handed over to civilian use. After a deadly accident in 2005, a collision between a PA-28 plane and a car on the nearby road, the aerodrome was closed; it has since only been available to ultralight and model aviation.
The main airport and runway are closed/ built-over,[2] however the Aero Clube da Costa Verde (Portuguese language) operates a flying club and school for light aircraft, marking off 420 metres (1,378 ft) of the original runway's south end for use.

  18. GEML - Melilla Airport, España

Here is my new Spanish airport, this time in the small town of Melilla in north Africa. All of it was constructed in WED and place objects in OverlayEditor, this time with the new terminal designed with tool XAirportScenery 1.1, ( http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=17534 ), some objects created in Sketchup, other OverlayEditor's own library.   Hope you enjoy.    For X-Plane 10 and 11     Melilla Airport
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia     Melilla Airport is an airport located 4 km (2.5 mi) southwest Melilla, Spain (IATA: MLN, ICAO: GEML).[1] The airport is located near the border with Morocco but on Spanish territory. Melilla and Nador shared an airport near Taouima from 1931 until the forming of the Kingdom in 1956. But it took till 1969 for this Spanish controlled airport opened. The airport does not handle large jets, the airlines serving the airport use either regional jets or turbopop airliners.

    History
In the 1920s several military aerodromes were built in area for the Air Arm of the Spanish Army:
Ramel - now in Morocco Arcila - now in Morocco Zeluan - now in Morocco Following the conflict between Spain and Morocco, a new military airfield was built near Cabrerizas Altas. This airport had a simple 300 m (984 ft) landing area. As tension settled and Spain was able to re-establish land around Melilla, this airport was relocated again further south of city.[2]
The new airport, Tauima Aerodrome, was opened for civilian flights opened in 1931 and used also by the military.[3] The El Atalayon hydroplane air station (now site of oyster farm) in the Bay of Mar Chica was operational in the 1930s to provide additional air travel options using Dornier Do J seaplanes. In 1958 the establishment of the Kingdom of Morocco placed the airport outside of control from Spain. Limited access to the airport was given to Melilla by secured bus. This airport later became Nador International Airport.
In 1969, the current airport was opened within Melilla's borders and was strictly a civilian facility.

    Airlines and destinations
The airlines serving the airport are regional carriers connecting to Spain to the north. The airport is also a general aviation airfield and handles private small aircraft. There are no flights directed to airport in Morocco.
