Yeah it might be missing, maybe the X-Plane default gateway stuff didn't have 3D objects at the time the custom scenery was made. As a workaround, I think you should be able to create a separate package with the exclusions you need, and then put it below the MKBS package in your scenery_packs.ini loading order. That should give you just the custom MKBS objects and no default ones.
I don't have any problems here on XP12, however I am using the Freeware X World America 3.0 by Simheaven as base package, see https://simheaven.com/simdownloads/x-world-america/ and I can see in log.txt that it gets loaded. Maybe it causes a difference.

Hi fellow virtual pilots,
here is my late PIREP, so job kept me busy until now - finally the weekend is near.
This time I did some very long range flight in the beginning to get some virtual money in FSE. I was using an Airbus A320 (replaced by Toliss A319 on my side), one of the rare flights where one gets to fly big iron on FSE. Since it is not possible to own or rent such large aircraft it is only possible to act as Pilot in Command and get some fixed amount of money for it. The flight took very long as you can see below, so I of course used Time Warp for it. This works quite well if you zoom out until the Earth disappears from screen. Then nothing has to be displayed and a time warp factor of 3-4 is possible.

Getting ready at Adelaide Airport on the Southern side of Australia:
Getting pushed back.
And off we went with some 115 passengers or so. I took a lot of extra fuel just in case. Although headed for Papua New Guiney Port Moresly airport, the alternate had been planned to be on the Australian side in Townsville. Quite a strange name for a city.
On approach runway 14L.
Meanwhile @DrTuro did some training on his own with his Airbus on some short trip at the East coast of Australia, then later beamed over to Papua to fly his Cessna 172 to our destination.
Short of touchdown. The weather had been quite ok on the trip but of course I had to cheat with the daytime to see something outside the window.
At Port Moresby passengers disembarked, I received my payment and loaded my Thranda Cessna 208 Caravan in FedEx livery for the flight to Wabo.
I was told to just follow that river.
And indeed some familiar callsigns popped up.
Managed to land somehow with help of Beta mode and got parked next to @CHASMAN2014. @rajo was also around on the other side.
@Kumiankka can be seen here landing on the water, if I am not mistaken.
Unfortunately the CSL had no floats.
If I remember correctly @Kumiankka here took off again barely clearing the trees.
@DrTuro and I started another flight to a larger airport to the North West.
The mountains were quite high, but in the C208 I had no issues to get up to 11000 ft or more.
@DrTuro had major trouble with his C172 which refused to climb to that altitude and was barely able to clear some easy mountains at the beginning. It was then required to stay in the valleys and try to get higher a bit from time to time.
I have often the feeling that Little Navmap underestimates the mountain tops somewhat. Better add an additional 1000-2000 ft reserve altitude.
After crossing the mountains I suddenly found myself in a valley with the destination and had to get off to the right in order to be able to descent.
After some patterns I made it safely down.
@DrTuro landed shortly thereafter.
Here we called it a day.
See you next Sunday! 🙂

Hi all,
no big deal this time, I picked up a FS-Economy Embraer Phenom 300 at Mariana Grajales, Guantanamo, Cuba (MUGT) and took it over to Matthew Town, Bahamas (MYIG) in order to be able to do some regular flight with a couple of passengers to our destination Lakeland (KLAL).

Getting ready at MUGT at early morning.
Departure at sunrise.
On approach to Matthew Town (MYIG) which was hard to spot from a distance since I was flying towards the sun.
There were only a few buildings around. The village there is very small.
Getting the passengers and luggage on board.
Taking off to today´s destination Lakeland Linder (KLAL).
While enroute @DrTuro started a flight with his usual Airbus A320 neo from nearby Orlando.
On final to Lakeland using runway 27 (or 28 for others) contrary to most of the others who used the opposite runway.
Aerial overview.
@DrTuro and I got parked. In his MSFS scenery there certainly was no building at this location.
After preparing in-flight cake break, we met at holding point of runway 27/28 for a final flight to Miami International (KMIA).
I was #2 for departure.
On approach to Miami, runway 08L. I had to expedite the descent, but everything went well.
I was #1 to land this time since @DrTuro was following some STAR / Approach for 08R which took more time.
Holding short for @DrTuro to land before crossing the runway.
We both got parked at on of the terminals.
Called it a day here.
See you next time and have a great week. 🙂

Hi guys,
I had just spent half an hour to prepare the PIREP when suddenly the page reloaded or I made a mistake and all was gone. And now it´s already 10 minutes to midnight. The usual auto-save from forum software has not worked this time.
So I keep it short (for now) and get you at least the basics.
I did some FSE flights first picking up a Bombardier Challenger 300 and then carrying passengers between a nearby airport (LTCA) and Batman and back.
Once that was done, I took an Aerobask ViperJet Ex and headed back to Batman in order to watch others land. Missed @Kumiankka although I noticed his callsign and followed in @CHASMAN2014 for landing.Meanwhile @DrTuro went with a Qatari Airbus from Cairo (HECA) to Batman and @Big-IN tried to get his VSkyLabs F19 from Munich (EDDM) to Batman which took a very long time.
After @DrTuro had arrived, we had another trip to Aleppo, Syria. Lastly I teleported back to Batman to watch @Big-IN´s landing.

Hi all,
I had left my Cirrus SR22 which I own in FSE at Venice Tessera at some earlier fly-in and now took it for the trip to Rome. First leg was flying 1 kg of cargo to Forli airport (LIPK) and then continue with 3 passengers to Roma Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci (LIRF) airport.
All flights for pilot ostkamp Date From To Aircraft Type Duration Distance Earnings 2024/03/31 13:37:29 LIPK LIRF DE-GAO001 Cirrus SR22 G2 01:10 142 $2,403.00 2024/03/31 12:18:11 LIPZ LIPK DE-GAO001 Cirrus SR22 G2 00:41 80 $134.10
There I had to leave FSE and fly still with the Cirrus SR22 on my own to Roma Urbe (LIRU).
On my way I was accompanied by @Big-IN aka Dino5 who used to fly helicopter all the time.Getting ready at the rainy venice airport, Dino5 is already hovering in the background.
The bad weather continued whileI was flying across the Laguna di Venezia towards the main land. I stayed very low because of potential icing.
Crossing the river "Po" (Latin: "Padus") if I remember correctly. I need to take into account this is an Italian word and not German (in German the term means "butt" 😉).
Short of the mountains I turned left to enter ILS approach to Forli runway 12.
Moments before touchdown.
I felt a little bit lost on the large apron.
Looks like Austin was here too according to the trucks.
@Big-IN´s large helicopter.
From there went to Roma Fiumichino Leonardo da Vinci airport. First for a longer trip over the mountains of course. I went up to 6000 ft without icing. 👍
Airport runway 16L ahead (sorry that I made a wrong announcement here, must have mixed up the runway numbers).
I stopped nearby and declared the FSE flight finished, then got setup on 16C this time for continuing to Roma Urbe.
On final LIRU runway 16.
Got parked here and switched aircraft.
My only chance was one of the Verticopter models. The original ones had been for XP10 only, but someone had at least converted one to XP11 and that could be loaded in XP12. I had tried several times to practice with that one, but it was anything from easy. I think in XP12 the model has much less power than is expected, since it won´t lift without full power at all. Also I experienced that even with stabilizers on and in vertical mode, the aircraft would not move forward. Instead it was constantly moving backwards unless I changed rotor angle.
Anyway, flying around the St. Peter´s Basilica and the St. Peter´s square next to it was no problem.
My landing attempts were terrible. I once got down somehow but went through some vegetation until reaching the heliport. Other experiments ended with crashes.
With the stock helicopter R22 I could not survive getting airborne for longer than 5 seconds, then it flipped over in some direction and crashed. 😟
Nevertheless the scenery was great and thanks to others for their great images of the vicinity.
See you next Sunday and have a good week. 🙂

Hi all,
I took my own Cessna 208 Caravan in FSE and had planned for a flight from Augsburg (EDMA) to Friedrichshafen (EDNY) then continuing to Koblenz Winningen (EDRK). During flight it turned out that @joscha66 had been absolutely correct with respect to the icing warnings and that led due to 2 more unplanned stops after crashes had happened although I tried to stay relatively low.
All flights for pilot ostkamp Date From To Aircraft Type Duration Distance Earnings 2024/03/24 18:11:27 EDFZ EDRK DE-GAO003 Cessna 208 Caravan 00:29 32 $5,292.91 2024/03/24 15:02:15 EDNY EDFZ DE-GAO003 Cessna 208 Caravan 01:14 163 $0.00 2024/03/24 13:42:13 EDMN EDNY DE-GAO003 Cessna 208 Caravan 00:38 49 $2,844.00 2024/03/24 12:57:55 EDMA EDMN DE-GAO003 Cessna 208 Caravan 00:22 21 $0.00
@Big-IN who was flying same tour also bit the dust twice due to icing in his stock King Air C90 since he is now also flying XP12.
Getting ready at Augsburg.
C90 and the Caravan side by side.
Flying out into really bad weather, very dark skies and rain.
I took no images there but I crashed near Mindelheim (EDMN) where I respawned and continued the flight.
On final Friedrichshafen runway 24.
@Big-IN was #2 on approach.
Exchanged passengers here. Departing again over Lake Constance.
The 2nd icing crash occurred when I was already on descent towards Koblenz.
I respawned at Finthen, Mainz Airport (EDFZ).
Then I followed the valley of river Rhine staying low.
Finally found the airport by spotting some callsigns.
On final runway 24.
I had bounced at least once so the plugin was quite unhappy about it. Some remaining VPs were still around like @CHASMAN2014 and @Vega66 and of course @Big-IN who had a better turn on that last leg.
I end my report with some totals of the airport.
Thanks for joining even in that bad weather conditions. Later the evening I had to redo the last leg from Finthen to Koblenz since I had forgotten to start the FSE flight and so it was not counted and the poor passengers were still stranded.
Originally an extended flight to Traben-Trarbach (EDRM) had been in discussion but got cancelled since @DrTuro who had been there in real life before was busy with other tasks. Just wanted to let the others know that the custom scenery there originally did not work correctly due to Mesh issues leading to floating buildings and very sloped runway. I investigated that and found that the old Rescue-X scenery which I had still installed was causing this - there are probably some Mesh adjustments included which do no longer fit to XP12 scenery base. After disabling it, the scenery was then usable. That could well apply to other places as well.
I hope to be around for the Easter Sunday fly-in. 😃

Hi fellow pilots,
here is a short report from my side:
There was an FSE VIP flight from a small airport Amiko, Amiko, Serbia and Montenegro (LY0C aka LY90) to Baghdad (here still named ORBS, aka ORBI).
However I needed to pick up a suitable aircraft first at Alexandria Army, Alexandria, Greece (LGAX) to fly it back to Amiko which cost me another 142 nm.
But still the outcome was enough to cover my monthly fees for my 3 aircraft in FSE.All flights for pilot ostkamp Date From To Aircraft Type Duration Distance Earnings 2024/03/17 14:19:26 LY0C ORBS N300MA Embraer Phenom 300 03:22 1251 $15,065.50 2024/03/17 11:50:59 LGAX LY0C N300MA Embraer Phenom 300 00:43 142 -$1,252.17
Getting ready in Alexandria.
Arriving in Amiko
There I had the VIP passengers boarding and took off shortly thereafter.
The flight was uneventful partially made with Time warp enabled. When approaching Baghdad, I met with @DrTuro´s Airbus A320 neo coming in from Cairo (HECA). He was #1 to land, however then had a go-around for coming in too high.
The landing was quite ok using ILS on runway 15L.
@DrTuro landing as MSR627 Egypt air from Cairo.
@Kumiankka, @CHASMAN2014 and @ManofMac were also parked nearby.
After cake break, installation of additional scenery etc., @DrTuro and I set up for another flight to Kuwait International airport.
Of course it was already evening now, I sunlight went away quickly.
Flying along the Kuwait coastline.
Ready for landing. ILS did not work for me, so it became a GPS based handflown approach that went ok.
Finally came to a halt. Due to some scenery mismatch (I had some older @tdg scenery installed) @DrTuro was seen inside a building.
ueleGot my payments from FSE and had the battery recharged before calling it a day.
See you next Sunday in Germany. 😃

Custom scenery by @azrsim is linked below, but note that it requires the NAPS library, the availability of which is complicated to say the least.
@Kumiankka My X-Organizer tool does not list NAPS library as required for this ORBI custom scenery, and I also tried loading with NAPS library disabled in XP12 and could not find any issues with it. Maybe that info on the description is just outdated. Can anyone confirm my findings?
Btw: Wrt. NAPS library it seems that this has been removed from all official download locations. Looks like the content was to be integrated into OpenSceneryX future release 5.0.0. However integration got paused in July 2020 which is quite a while ago, see https://github.com/OpenSceneryX/Library/issues/80 and I cannot see any other activity for OpenSceneryX for approx. 3 years.

Is X-Ivap out of the question and should I use Swift (as complicated it may be?)
@borisvp Exactly. Please goto the 1st page of this message thread. There you can find a link to my illustrated HowTo PDF document which contains lots of images with step by step instructions on how to install Swift. For XP12 it is the same procedure as for XP11.
Once you are through with the installation and configuration then using it for flying is easy.

Welcome to Paris on the 1000th fly-in. I have not participated all, since I joined in around 2014.
Congratulations and thanks to @Kumiankka for organizing this. I hope to be around for some more.
I joined the first group flight from Toulouse (with Airbus facilities on location) to Paris, Le Bourget according to prepared flight plan.
When I logged on around 12 UTC quite a number of us @ghun1, @gp4tom, @MerlinEng and 2 more AFR110CS, AIB661K were already waiting for @Kumiankka to appear. Some others went to Le Bourget from UK (Manchester, if I remember correctly) and @DrTuro from Düsseldorf, Germany.
I logged on with a Toliss A319 aircraft with Air France livery for the Olympics in 2024. The plane can be found in front of @MerlinEng here on the opposite site.
After a short while talking to others, @Kumiankka joined in this SAS aircraft (at least appearing as such to me). I know he was flying an A350 which was rendered as A359 here.
After we all got started (I had prepared a Toliss Save file that I just had to load - thanks for Toliss for really saving everything! - in order to sit into a plane fully configured and with engines running) we taxied to runway to hold short runway 14L at Toulouse.
Nearly ready for takeoff ...
when @rajo appeared in the Thai aircraft and joined last.
Takeoff and flight went ok with the expected problems, aircraft not 100% accurately keeping speed, altitude etc. due to some glitches.
@Kumiankka had some trouble with his autopilot and igniter, but solved it later somehow.
We went up to FL170 at first, then higher trying to escape the cloud overcast, but it turned out we could do so only much lower, we also started descent earlier in order to enjoy snowy mountain tops and other scenery. TCAS was active most of the time because separation was not really ok (from ATC point of view) until I switched it off for the flight.
I think we looked quite good on the x-flightserver map.
Approaching Paris on course 319 degrees from MLN.
Eiffel Tower in sight through the haze.
Had a fly-over in Le Bourget apron and runways first.
When I headed back to do localizer approach on runway 07, the visibility was very poor. I could not see runway at 1600 and had to go around.
The 2nd time went better. Here I had at least manual localizer. I had not been able to enter the fly-over and other manual legs into MCDU / FMC.
Finally landed ok. Very short before reaching runway I found that the Swift client had kicked my connection due to low framerate, but I could pause the sim briefly, and reconnect so that my landing could be seen at least.
Most of us got parked near the airshow.
After a while most if not all had landed and I switched aircraft and loaded Cessna C172 with special livery kindly provided by @Vega66.Thanks for this. 😃
We got ready for takeoff with a bunch of Cessna 172 and one helicopter and @Kumiankka as leader.
ready to start the Eiffel Tower challenge - a fly through underneath 😁
I managed that but then had to quickly pull up in order to not crash into buildings.
I am not sure if that was the location where Versailles should be, need to check this. It looked strange though.
@Kumiankka went for some bridge fly-under challenge but crashed this time. The other went for an extra holding pattern around the Eiffel Tower until he had restarted.
Finally landed on runway 07 at Le Bourget again.
Some group shots with all of us except @ManofMac who needed to leave for some emergency but left his plane parked elsewhere, and @DrTuro who had to sign off early due to time constraints.
Looking forward for the fly-ins to come.
Btw. sorry for talking German on the Teamspeak. I had forgotten to mute it again before talking to @Big-IN and @DrTuro on Discord. Thanks for the heads up @marpilot.
Thanks all for participating. 😃

Hi,
I ended up having 2 Eiffel Towers at the same time. After some hours of trying out different configurations I detected that the LFPG scenery by @tdg which I had installed brought along a 2nd tower far from the original airport. Easter egg found 😉
After disabling it now works, but the bridge near Eiffel Tower (not visible in screenshot) also looks somewhat broken. Will ignore this since it looks much better with the old buildings around.

I did some FSE flights with a Cessna Caravan 208.
First leg from Ft Dodge Regl, Iowa, United States (KFOD) to Algona Mun, Iowa, United States (KAXA) using Thranda house livery.
2nd leg was then from there to Mason City Mun, Iowa, United States (KMCW). Used a FedEx livery now since Thranda of course did not exist as CSL. Those city names looked quite familiar when I remember the Western movies I watched earlier in life. Kansas City was not far away and the location where @DrTuro was flying to coming from Dallas / Ft. Worth if I remember correctly. Unfortunately he did not make it fully to destination due to time constraints.
Then continued to Atlantic Mun, Iowa, United States (KAIO). The clouds ahead looked a bit strange like in circles ... 🤪
The last leg ended of course at Amelia Earhart, Atchison, Kansas, United States (K59).
Once I had landed I somewhat lost control. The aircraft went off to the left, then when I counter acted ...
it went over to the right with a lot of dust
Finally on the right side I got it under control again 😃
Got parked next to @Kumiankka and @CHASMAN2014 before logging off for the day.
I hope I can get everything installed on time for the next one.
@Big-IN could not attend this time since he was fighting XP12 installation where some DVDs could not be installed due to strange read errors. We followed up on this throughout the week and I even contacted Aerosoft about it since it looked like broken DVDs. Finally he tried a different external DVD drive that was then unexpectedly able to read them. So maybe he uses it for next Flyin.

Hi all,
@Kumiankka really nice shots of that car on the race track 😀
Earlier this week I finally decided on my next own aircraft in FS-Economy and purchased a Cessna Caravan 208 on a Greek airport:
Date From To Amount Reason Airport Aircraft 2024/02/21 17:57:38 ostkamp Master_Los -$589,000.00 Aircraft sale LGRD DE-GAO003
This seemed to be the best compromise looking at hours on the clock (airframe had about 1220 hours) and pricing. Passenger capacity is 13 or about 1400 kg cargo on approx 50% fuel. The tank has 332 gal capacity with a fuel burn of 55 gal / hour. Just the cruise speed is a bit limited with 182 kts. If I am lucky I can make $10000 per long range flight when fully loaded with passengers. When I reach 2000 hours, I will have to buy a new engine at some $125000 or so and of course until then the 100 hour inspections and random repairs as well as the monthly fee. Luckily I got one with a fee of $3825 per month. Most of the newer ones easily exceed $4000 by far.
The new bird can of course now be flown as Cargo ...
... or regular passenger version here with my own callsign on it
I flew it back from Rhodes Air base (LGRD) on long haul via Debrecen Airport (LHDC) in Hungary to Augsburg (EDMA). Later it will get moved to Munich base.
2024/02/24 19:15:56 LHDC EDMA DE-GAO003 Cessna 208 Caravan 03:21 434 $4,055.40 2024/02/21 20:03:44 LGRD LHDC DE-GAO003 Cessna 208 Caravan 04:20 727 $10,463.40
For the fly-in I reactivated my Cessna Citation X parked at Key West for a multi leg tour with Timewarp enabled 😉. It was not easy to find some offers that would finally get me to the Atlanta Speedway airport.

continuing to Birmingham-Shuttlesworth (KBHM).
Then turned west to Arthur, Fayette, Alabama, United States (M95) to pick up some VIP passengers to Chester Mun, Chester, South Carolina, United States (9A6).
And from there finally to 4A7, now listed as Atlanta Speedway (KHDM).
Still a bit high, but on final.
Got parked next to @Big-IN aka Dino5.
Terminal building was nearby. The food & drinks have arrived! 😁
Unfortunately I had not sufficient time that day to wait for the arrival of @DrTuro but I noticed in some other report, that he made it as well.
Hope to meet you again on next Sunday and have a nice week! 🙂

Thanks, got it. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this even with your settings. I hid the LNM window behind others, minimized it, nothing.
Try "Tools" -> "Reset all settings and restart". Maybe there is some critter hidden in the configuration file. One completely unrelated thing: I've seen a few warnings in the log and it seems that x-flightserver.net needs VATSIM as a selection in options on page "Online flying". Using IVAO shows all aircraft pointing to North.
@albar965 Thanks for spending your time on it. I can try the Tools-Reset next time. If the problem is still reproducable I shall record a video of maybe a minute or so.
During flight I also jump around a lot with the map, e.g. from flightplan choose intermediate waypoint, or destination airport while in flight in order to get weather data, ILS frequencies and course settings, airport elevation etc. or check out altitudes required at certain waypoints on STAR / Arrival route.
Wrt. the x-flightserver.net: That server switched from using X-Ivap to Swift a while ago but does not use VATSIM but FSD Legacy protocol. My XP12 is connected to Swift local client via Swift-Plugin and the Swift Client then manages connection to X-flightserver. LN just has its own Little XPConnect but no direct connection to X-Flightserver apart from downloading that whazzup file.
I see my own aircraft as yellow symbol, any other aircraft transmitted out of Swift client as orange symbol (I think with proper direction, but visible only within limited range) and additionally stuff loaded via whazzup in red color (I think independent of range, but pointing to North and only updated in intervals as configured). The format of the Whazzup file cannot be changed to VATSIM, since then all red entries vanish from display, I just tried this afternoon during the fly-in with other pilots. And if I switch the upper selection from Custom to VATSIM then I do no longer get that whazzup info at all (also I suppose that VATSIM would not work here at all).
@CatonaPC I am sure to have used the correct button, but thanks anyway.

@albar965 Hi Alex,
I am currently using 3.0.3rc1 with XP12 on Windows 10 but the problem was already present in earlier versions:
When I have "Keep the user aircraft visible on map" symbol checked in menu bar, then Little Navmap just does not do that. When the aircraft moves out of the map then the map does not get updated.
If I uncheck and recheck again, then it updates to current aircraft position but then later same thing happens again.
This acts like if I had used the other button "Jump to user aircraft".
Could you please check if you can reproduce that behavior?

Anyone having problems with the replay function on XP-12? I use to use it for screenshots for my PIR's but it stopped working.
@CHASMAN2014 Hi Chas, yes - it was never running smoothly in any of XP10, 11 and 12 versions.
My experience is that the best way is to run it immediately after you got parked in case you want to take shots from your landing. Make sure to logoff from Swift before doing so, since the others will otherwise see your aircraft moving around. Also if flying FS-Economy, make sure to have reported your flight as finished, before using replay since the flight will be canceled otherwise. Your aircraft will then operate on scenery that is still in the cache when you just use fast-backward feature a bit.
Apart from that I mostly run it from saved replay file for which I have to restart XP completely. For longer flights it happens rather often that XP gets stuck completely when I try to fast forward or backward using the slider, especially if that flight was a longer one. It sometimes works when you move forward in small steps. Always wait until it has recovered from such jump and had some time to load missing scenery. It can also happen that airport or other scenery stuff is not fully loaded at the end which requires pausing XP until that has happened.
Also some aircraft models don´t start up correctly. Usually this happens with scripted aircraft logics. The fastening tows for small birds or other stuff like chocks may remain visible in flight. The engines may not run after all. The displays in the cockpit may remain dark. There may be no voice at all etc. If you are lucky then exterior view still works to some degree. I have also the feeling that the weather is not stored with the replay. You may end up with weather that is present when you watch the replay instead of weather that was present when the recording was done.

Alas, my video card (980Ti) does not support Vulkan. I have parts for a new PC on order. Sometime this spring I will get XP12 going. That racetrack looks fun.
@surfintucson Your video card should support Vulkan and XP-12.
See https://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-12-system-requirements/ where the NVIDIA 900 series is listed in supported video cards section.
Also NVIDIA page at https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver lists the 980Ti as Vulkan 1.3 compatible (Maxwell 2 GPU architecture).
You may just need to update your drivers.

Ah, sorry to hear that @surfintucson! There does seem to be an older XP11 Gateway scenery out there too, under the name Henry County Airport which the airport was known as between 2013-2017. But I doubt it looks as nice as the XP12 scenery, and will probably be missing the NASCAR track too.
The XP11 one has this comment: „KHMP is now Henry Co formerly Clayton Co Tara Fld. Two identical versions exist for Clayton Co Tara Fld, one as KHMP and one as 4A7. Fencing and taxiway lighting placed from Google Earth overhead. Note that there is now a road along the north end of Rwy 24 that does not show in ESRI. I added the adjacent Speedway circle to the east for visual orientation on approach.“
It was in for XP 11.40 - 12.05 so @surfintucson should already have it with the circle. The new scenery was a complete rebuild and is in since 12.0..8.
@surfintucson Just install XP 12 and try it, it is easy. I am still running XP 12 with PC built in 2014 with i7 4770k overlocked at 4.2 GHz with 32 GB RAM and with newer graphics card NVIDIA 2080 8 GB due to HW failure of older one. And it is still running well, see the fps in my screenshots. It seems you even have a better CPU than I.

Hello fellow armchair pilots,
I already had a lot of flights this week in FS-Economy prior to the fly-in.

On Friday I took my own bird from Eglin AFB, Valparaiso, Florida, United States to Orlando Intl, Orlando, Florida, United States.
That was followed by a long haul flight in a rented aircraft from Düsseldorf to Santorini, Greece. And on Saturday I continued with my own bird from Orlando to Key West.
Also I picked up a rented aircraft in Cap Carlos Martinez De Pinill, Trujillo, Peru then took it to Jose Abelardo Quinones Gonzal, Chiclayo, Peru for a long haul flight to Simon Bolivar Intl, Maiquetia, Venezuela. On Sunday, the fly-in day, I was lucky to find one for rent at Kabala, Sierra Leone (GFKB) to our destination Banjul Intl, Gambia (GBYD) followed by continuation flight to Tambacounda, Senegal (GOTT) and a return flight back to Banjul.
Still earning money in order to buy either Cessna Caravan 208 (priced 600-700k) or Beech King Air 350 (850k - 1000k). The King Air is a bit faster, has 2 engines, and can carry more cargo at the price of higher fuel burn and maintenance costs.
I found a fictional colorful Kenya airways livery for the Aerobask Embraer Phemon 300 which I typically use as replacement. I am able to do the maximum range tours on FS-Economy with about 1250 nm distance with full tanks containing about 806 gal. Usually at FL350-360 and 75-85% N1. I need to keep away from overspeed conditions, then reduce speed a bit and activate the CSC mode, which acts like an Autothrottle.
Now without further ado, let´s get into images. The bird is parked here at Kabala airport, Sierra Leone. Hard to get away from here since the runway is pretty short.
Weather was ok this time.
Finally Banjul airport got in sight.
I landed shortly after @Kumiankka. I intended to go to runway 14 right away via STAR while others had originally planned for the opposite runway because it had an ILS. But my Little Navmap had always only indicated runway 14 as the correct one.
Got parked next to @Kumiankka who was showing up as West Atlantic, but I knew he was flying something else for which we had no CSL.
THY110CS had just landed with the Turkish airlines livery, I think that was @CHASMAN2014 who had a near miss with @Kumiankka as was already mentioned.
I continued the flight to Tambacounda, Senegal (GOTT). @Big-IN had a hard time to get his Toliss Airbus A320 neo started (it was only his 2nd flight with it, if I remember correctly) but finally became airborne.
Runway in sight at Tambacounda!
It was both narrow and short but I managed to get to halt, taxied back to terminal and exchanged the passengers and cargo for return flight.
Finally reached Banjul again.
@Big-IN aka Dino5 had meanwhile managed to land after fighting the FMC and autopilot to get the aircraft to descent. It finally went ok when he switched to manual mode. For some reason he was floating here, maybe scenery or XP11 vs XP12 issues.
We then waited for @Quintao to land until we logged off for the day.
Really nicely modeled airport building.
Hope to see you again on next Sunday! 🙂

Hi guys,
I did a couple of flights on FSE with my on bird Cirrus SR22, followed by Cessna 172 flight for sightseeing
All flights for pilot ostkamp Date From To Aircraft Type Duration Distance Earnings 2024/02/11 14:51:01 LIPK LIPZ DE-GAO001 Cirrus SR22 G2 00:38 79 $496.80 2024/02/11 14:10:05 LIRF LIPK DE-GAO001 Cirrus SR22 G2 01:35 144 $2,403.00 2024/02/11 12:32:40 LIRS LIRF DE-GAO001 Cirrus SR22 G2 00:40 78 $2,168.10
Started off at Grossetto in Italy, North of Rome.
First destination was Roma Fiumicino (LIRF). The weather had low cloud ceiling almost the whole day and rain.
I landed on 19R.
After refueling and changing passengers, I went off in opposite direction on runway 34L.
The airport scenery looks also well done.
I had a lot of trouble underway, I believe I have picked up too much icing. I had some emergency descent could barely keep 5000 ft (too low for crossing the mountains) and recovered somewhere at Lake Trasimeno. Then I tried to escape to the East in order to reach the coast.
This was successful I arrived there between Ancona to the South and Rimini in the North.
Fly-by on Rimini airport below.
Then I landed at Forli Airport (LIPK).
Passengers disembarked and I loaded some cargo instead for the final leg to Venezia Tessera (LIPZ), today´s official destination.
The weather turned bad again. Had to descent to below 2000 ft.
Venezia Tessara runway 04R ahead.
@Vega66 and @surfintucson were also at the airport.
@DrTuro landed shortly thereafter coming in from Innsbruck (LOWI) in his A320-neo.
We both changed aircraft and used a C172 for a city tour of Venice. It was already near Sunset.
Still rainy weather.
Rialto bridge below.
On our way to Nicelli aerodrome (LIPV).
I landed a bit too hard on the grass. @DrTuro came in after me but in opposite direction (as @Kumiankka already mentioned he could clear the runway in time).
After @DrTuro had logged off I had a final return flight to Tessera. Nice view over the lagoon.
On downwind for runway 04R.
Turning final.
And finally got parked.
Have a nice carnival!
In other parts of Germany (Northrhine Westphalia and Rhineland-Pfalz it was time for the famous Rose-Monday parades, e.g. in Mainz, Cologne and Düsseldorf).
On this page there is a special pic for @Kumiankka https://www.swr.de/swraktuell/rheinland-pfalz/rosenmontagszug-mainz-koblenz-100.html 😁Have a nice week and see you hopefully next Sunday! 🙂

Hi,
thanks for all the colorful great images 🙂
I really wanted to use a Beechcraft King Air 350 or Cessna Caravao 208 for today´s trips, but as it turned out FS-Economy had no such aircraft available within more than 1000 nm around Sri Lanka, and the remaining very few aircraft available on the island were not of use for me.
So I was looking for my usual business jets and found a Cessna Citation X at the Indian Trivandrum Intl. airport (VOTH, see link for details). I used it for all my flights at the fly-in. Fortunately there have been a lot of passengers available for regular short range flights, so I still could earn some money despite of the renting and fuel costs (table to be read from bottom to top).

Getting ready for boarding the first passengers for a flight to Ratmalana Airport (VCCC) a bit to the South of the original destination. As most of the time I had replaced the Citation X with a Phenom 300.
The airport was located near the coast.
On my way already on descent with spoilers deployed to VCCC in Sri Lanka.
Runway slowly became visible through the haze. Otherwise it was nice weather and I had turned back the clock in order to not have to fly in upcoming darkness.
On final.
While there were no large airport passenger terminals here, I found some helicopter hangers at the end of runway 04.
I got briefly parked here to exchange passengers and refuel the aircraft. I have always to keep in mind that the Phenom 300 takes only 806 gal while the real Citation X requires double as much. If I refuel more than fits into the aircraft, the rest of fuel gets lost and you do not get your money back.
Departing again with a full view of the airport on my way to current destination Colombo Bandareike International (VCBI) for the first time that day.
Had to arrive from sea side to get in on runway 04 via ILS.
First time other pilots became visible.
While I was taxiing to terminal @Vega66 passed for a flyby or landing.
@Big-IN aka Dino5 arrived just immediately after me.
Again refueling now and taking new passengers.
Departing here for Ampara airport (VCCG) on the other side of the island. @Big-IN had a break until later.
Amapara in sight.
I then had a return flight to Bandaraneike in order to exchanges passengers and refuel again.
Taxiing for flight to VC0B, in XP12 this is known as Vavuniya airport (VC13)
@Big-IN had already departed in a Helicopter and we met each other again at VC13. Here I stopped for a longer break and @Big-IN logged off.
Later after the break I rejoined and did the return flight from VC13 to VCBI.
refueled and exchanged passengers again this time boarding for China Bay (VCCT) and later Palaly airport (VCCJ).
The image below shows me on final to VCCT. Where I refueled again and also picked some passengers for a return flight to VCBI via VCCJ (not fully carried out due to running out of time).
Finally I reached VCCJ in the far North of the island.
Here I called it a day since I had already reached 19:55h at home, time to logoff and get something to eat.
Thanks to all who provided great city and environmental screenshots. 😀
Hope to see you next time in Venice! 🙂

Are those all XP12 default for those snow effects? Or some other configuration with the accumulated snow plugin? I'm thinking of making the move to XP12 in the next month or so.
@surfintucson I had the accumulated snow plugin installed in XP12. Good luck for the switch to XP12. I am using XP11 only occassionally now when I want to fly one of those aircraft models which are no longer supported (as @Kumiankka had already mentioned). Many do no longer work due to SASL issues. And of course most engines settings are broken.
However the major players of the big iron like Flightfactor, Toliss have XP12 versions, X-Crafts is working on the ERJ-Family (and has the ERJ Jets already upgraded). I miss some Carenado models like the Baron 58 and the PC-12 and some of the XP11 Aerobask models like the Eclipse 550 or the Pipistrel Panthera. I have given up hope that STMA could release a new PC-12, they were telling this for years, but nothing has ever appeared in public. Many developers are struggling because of the continuing breaking changes to the flight model caused by Austin; maybe that is of interest for the professionals customers. Weather has definitely improved in XP12 so that no 3rd party cloud plugin is required anymore. I haven´t used it much, but stock ATC should also have been improved, need to check this out in detail. 3D vegetions burns my framerate, so I have to keep this disabled in complex environments. I wish the cockpits were easier to read - much too dark in my mind - but can´t compare to the real thing of course. The business jet Cessna Citation X is a welcome and well made addition to my hanger, especially since I virtually own one in FS-Economy even if I often replace it by a Aerobask Phenom 300 (which burns much less fuel).

🇯🇲 1007th fly-in: Ian Fleming Int'l, Jamaica (MKBS)
in Flight Operations
Posted · Edited by ostkamp
Hi folks,
I had some long-range flights already on Saturday to earn some cash in FSE. Today the were only some flights to Kingston Jamaica (MKJP) with small payment. I started off at La Mesa Intl, San Pedro Sula, Honduras (MHLM) officially with a Cessna Citation CJ4, in X-Plane replaced by Aerobask Phenom 300.
All flights for pilot ostkamp Date From To Aircraft Type Duration Distance Earnings 2024/04/28 14:05:53 MKJP MKBS N-638MV Cessna 206 Stationair 00:37 30 $663.95 2024/04/28 13:10:21 MHLM MKJP GKF4sale88 Cessna Citation CJ4 (MSFS) 02:00 659 $4,690.70 2024/04/27 17:47:30 SV0C KSFB XC-DUD Cessna Citation X 02:56 1225 $18,484.61 2024/04/27 10:38:42 DAUL DRZR RA-82325 Lear 45 03:02 1246 $19,437.74
Taking off from La Mesa:
As it was early morning (I cheated a bit and turned the clock 2 hours ahead) it was somewhat like flying "Into the sun".
Approaching Jamaica.
After some sharp turn I got realigned with the runway at Kingston. Flight was uneventful otherwise.
On final runway 30.
And it became an excellent landing according to plugin. I arrived here at approx. 13 o´clock UTC.
Got parked, and returned the rented aircraft and got the passengers to disembark.
After that I rented a Cessna 206 Stationair (here replaced by Cessna 208 Caravan) for a short flight to Ian Fleming Airport.
Crossing the mountains required climb to 5000ft or so. Here I saw the strange cloud formation above which appears like a series of rectangles. There was unfortunately overcast above 4000 ft and even some clouds at 2000 ft. I went out for the ocean before descending to get under the cloud deck, then returned back to coastline.
Finally on approach to Ian Fleming Airport.
Two of us had left their aircraft here while being offline somehow. The rest had already called it a day or was enroute to some other destination.
@Kumiankka and @rajo had made another trip to an Sangsten airport (MKJS) in the West. I jumped into an Aerobask ViperJet NX to catch up.
And finally reached apron when they prepared their return flight.
I joined them.
@rajo can be seen through the cockpit window.
On final Ian Fleming airport.
Got parked. @rajo was number 2 to land, followed by @Kumiankka
Some final overview with all of us parked.
I called it a day here as well as @rajo.
Have a nice week! 🙂
