  1. Let's go from Naval Base (XHFSNB), Mahé for a tour of the big island of Seychelles aboard the Bell 407 Brown-Goldy. 😎

Perseverance Island is an artificial island at 2 kilometers from the capital Victoria. It is dedicated for residential. The Naval base is located at the south point.

  2. Holidays in Seychelles: A VIPs family arrives in their private SIKORSKY S-92 on the helipad(XHFSLD) of "La Digue" Island to reach their villa.
Sorry, because of the paparazzi, we are not allowed to reveal the location of their villa on the island! 😉

La Digue "is located 43 kilometers from Mahé and 6.5 kilometers from Praslin. It is the third most populated island of the Seychelles.

  3. Arrival and departure aboard the Bell 407 of a Skynews team for one day of a TV report at Hilton Labriz (XHFSSL), Silhouette Island (Seychelles).
Silhouette is located 20 kilometers northwest of Mahé, from where it is clearly visible. It is the third largest granitic island in the Seychelles. It is mountainous with five peaks over 500 meter in elevation.

  4. The most "unpleasant" moment of the vacation ... the return home. Departure at 11.00 am (local time) from Farqhar Atoll (FSFA), south-west of Mahé to reach the Seychelles International Airport (FSIA) aboard the DHC6 Twin Otter "Air Seychelles". Passenger boarding and takeoff.

  5. INFO THE POTEZ TOE Replica of AIR & SPACE MUSEUM

I saw again on the forum an information concerning the replica of the Potez 25 TOE of the Air & Space Museum of Paris le Bourget. So I wanted to know more by looking to better reliable sources, ie Michel Flora, its manufacturer and to give to users on this forum (as far as it really interests them) a right information.

➡️ The information below is coming from the most reliable source and I no longer intend to give more information or make more research on this museum piece, a 1/1 replica specially built for a Museum, and which will never fly.

After a long friendly discussion by phone with my friend Michel Flora today, this is what he told me about this replica:  the plane (as it is and should remain) was well finished in 2007,  Then exhibited in 2008 on the Champs-Elysées, then at the Museum in Hall 7.

Museum officials then decided to add a half interlining (canvas) on only one side and one wing, leaving one wing and one side open to see the complexity of the interior parts (as it is the case today, but for the two sides) in order to exhibit it again in the large gallery. They also have to place the windshield and that's all (no more)!

However, the canvas and the parts are very expensive and the funds, as well as the volunteer workers are lacking. According to Michel, because of all this, this work is taking too long, and it is not certain that this half interlining will be done one day (and when?) maybe never! Because it is very far from being a priority for the Air Museum (MAE) and many enthusiastic volunteer workers in the 2007s are either too old or disinterested.

Michel Flora is 83 and cannot do more than what he has already done. This replica is only an object of French Heritage intended for a Museum and prohibited to fly !

It will undoubtedly be exhibited again as it is now at the next Heritage Days. End of the story !

  8. Hi Friends 🙂

Sorry, but I have to correct an information: I read somewhere on the forum that the replica of the Potez 25 TOE exhibited at the Air and Space Museum - Paris is an unfinished work: "The unfinished replica rests in a museum ".

I would just like to set the record straight. This is not an unfinished job, but a COMPLETED job according to the plans of the builder, my friend Michel Flora that I received 5 days ago. In fact the replica has been built like this, with parts completely open (cut away) so that visitors can see the interior.

This huge work took several years (around 7 years from plans to plane). To say that it is incomplete would not do justice to the creator.

Below is a paper photo that was given to me by MIchel where we see him in 2009 during the inauguration of his replica of Potez 25 at the Air and Space Museum of Paris-Le Bourget.
