  1. You found where X-Plane picked the water to fill Edwards AFB!

Seriously, if you do not see water in v.10 it is because v.10 global scenery is completely wrong.

This body of water is the Gouin Reservoir, one of the largest bodies of water in Quebec with more than 5000km of coasts.

  2. true the only well known ww2 biplanes were the swordfish torpedo bombers, although it has a swivelling ball turret similar to those of the ww2 bombers its kinda a mix of everything between ww1 and now

    What about the Gladiator?

  3. Hi,I do not show the airports and/or buildings after putting the folder in Custom Scenery. I think the download is incomplete.Thanks.

Check your directory structure I am quite sure you did not install properly. You probably have a double structure: a "Canada Ontario 03" folder witihn another "Canada Ontario 03" folder.

  4. This is one of your best airports. Thanks so much.My only request for this and future scenery would be to avoid the apt_water in OE. It looks very artificial and detracts from the natural look of v9 and v10 water IMO. FWIW.

It was made necessary because this apt is on a peninsula and XP sholrelines were completely wrong.

Simply delete it in OE if you do not like it.

  5. You did not understand what I meant. If you unzip in the same directory as your zip file it will create the following folders structure: Canada PEI Airports/Canada PEI Airports/Earth nav data, objects. It is from the second Canada PEI Airports folder that you should copy to X-Plane/Custom scenery. Otherwise the scenery will not appear.

The safest way if to browse to your X-Plane/Custom scenery when you are asked for the destination so you unzip directly within X-Plane.

  6. Keep a copy of goose Bay outside of X-Plane.

Open Goose Bay in Overlay Editor and in WED.

For every airport in the Goose Bay scenery in WED, go to this airport in OE and delete all objects. Go in WED and delete the airport.

I am affraid there is no other way.

If you find you preffered the Goose Bay scenery you can always bring your copy back in X-Plane and remove mine.

  7. Read the file description on this page :

"If you have the folder "Quebec CYSG St-Georges de Beauce" installed please remove it from your custom sceneries since the airports contained therein will be duplicated."

So yes, if you have "Quebec Beauce Package" installed please remove it.

  8. Hi Jacques - I found the folder that is causing the trees on the runway at CSH5. It is Quebec CZBM Estrie. I downloaded another copy just in case but it does the same thing to CSH5. I am running Xplane 9.6 rc2 on a MacBook Pro. Any suggestions how to correct it? Thanks

I will upload a new version of CZBM later with modified forrested areas to clear the airports.

  9. Excellent work as usual. Quebec must be the most populated custom scenery in the world , thanks to you. Have you thought of doing some a little further east. i.e. the Atlantic provinces. I would certainly use it.

A note on the Misc 6. I also have trees on the runway and roof tops in CSH5 and CTQ2.

    Thanks for the great work.

I forgot forest exclusion zone at CTQ2. It is now corrected.

In the case of CSH5 you must have another scenery that interferes since the exclusion was already there when I checked.

  10. Nice location, like the line shack, too. NOTAM: Runway too short for anything but GA, but otherwise a great addition.

In all the places I make runway lengths and widths are all in accordance with the data published in the NAV Canada Flight Supplement.

Air Montmagny operates a fleet of three Islanders and connect with Ile aux Grues which has an even shorter runway.

  11. Fun adventure :) Thanks. Don't think I'll post a screen shot; wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.

    Thanks.

BTW The power line was plotted using GoogleEarth for the coordinates and follows the same route as in real life. If you fly VFR and get lost following a power line is a good means to get back to civilization.
