Visit Sheremetyevo museum (5th floor of Terminal F). Russian aviation history, detailed layout of the airport and the panoramic views of the runway will allow you to have interesting time.
Welcome to Moscow! To reach the city centre it is better to avoid traffic and use Aeroexpress trains. Don't forget to buy unlimited 3G/LTE data plan ($10 per month). More http://weheartmoscow.com/svo/
After many visits I need to say that Sheremetyevo is a good airport. And the "Fast food prize" goes to this Airport, I don't remember any other with Burgerking in the boarding lobby..
Probably the best airport in Moscow! No lanes, everything is fast and comfortable, navigation is on the level. You can even find amazingly cheap McDonald’s in terminal D
One of the best airport in MOW. While riding to Moscow, you'd better prefer Aeroexpress trains, as it the fastest and most convenient way to get the city center or way back.
The best Moscow airport. Terminal D is not crowded at all, serving flights to better destinations (non mid-asians here), equipped with self-service kiosks and a free WiFi almost everywhere.
You can find anything your heart desires at this airport. However it’s an enormous structure and it might easily take 20-25 min walking to a gate without any support. For transit it’s a risky place
This airport is one of the best in Moscow (Domodedovo is also good, but this one is better). Though of course the prices are higher than in a regular store.
If you haven't been at a Russian airport prepair yourself to go through security screening at the enterance. D, E are good and modern terminals at Sheremetyevo - while the F.... Not my favorite :D
The best, easiest, cheapest way to move from the airport to the city center is aeroexpress. It cost 400 RUB each way. It moves from Sheremetiyevo to Belorussian station.
The Airport is fantastic .If you coming back you must have time to get to your terminal and pass a bunch of security checks. So at least come with 3 hours in Advance . Quick train to the City Also.
The main plus is that people smoke in the toilet... few ok bars and restaurants to choose from... lots of fast food options and duty free everywhere...
When collecting your luggage, check neighboring luggage belts since airportstaff sometimes isn't educated enough to differentiate digits. Don't believe information on the displays and announcements
The food lately became really bad. A lot of security checkpoints. No smoking areas. Dirty and smelly restrooms. Poor navigation. However luggage handling and border control are fast and efficient.
It is funny to be in a toilet and hear a loud announcements from the staff. Sounds like this someone sits right in your cabin. It makes you to be very fast and efficient.
The aeroexpress train will bring you to Belorusskaya station in 35 minutes where you can catch the metro. Taxi's will be overpriced and can take more than two hours to reach the center with traffic.
Terminal F needs a serious face-lift. Staff at the border cross is dead serious and super sloooow. Get a aeroexpress to the city downtown, easiest, safest and fastest way of transportation by far.
The Worst airport ever! Literally no one speaks English. You always have to pass trough check-in desks & wait the huge queues even if you have no luggage & have boarding pass already. Total nonsense!
Terminal D. There are many AC power sockets (power points) at the wall opposite to Шоколадница at the entrance (opposite check-in desk 95). 4 more AC power sockets are opposite desk 74 under screens.
Easy to get here by car or public transport. In terminal D many caffes (Coffemania, Costa, shokoladniza), free wifi. Maybe only one drawback is always long queue in woman's toilets 😁
If you have a long layover, floor 2 on terminal D has some double seats you can lay down on. Also, there are almost no outlets in this entire airport!!
Do not wait for your flight in terminal F. There are way too many shops and hardly any good spots with good wifi and view. Try finding a spot in Terminal E (also D but E is closer).
There's free wifi near gate 42/43 which is solid. The top floor lounge is ok to pricey for the entry, and only last 3 hours. The food is meh, but drinks are good and there's wifi, plugs, couches, etc
The worst airport I’ve ever seen. Even in transit flight there is double passport check. At least 200 people were waiting in the queu and there was only one passport check counter.
