SHEIKH ZAYED INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RAHIM YAR KHAN

Shaikh Zayed International Airport (IATA: RYK, ICAO: OPRK), also known as Rahim
Yar Khan Airport, is located at Rahim Yar Khan, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It

is named after Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who provided financial assistance for the
construction of the airport and other Projects in Rahim Yar Khan, as Rahim Yar Khan

was H.H. Sheikh Zayed's second home after UAE. The Sheikh Zayed International

Airport is situated approximately 2.5 NM SSW of Rahim Yar Khan city and is available
in all seasons during scheduled hours of operation round the year. The CAA acquired

the land for Aerodrome and Associated Facilities to be used for Public Aerodrome.
Most of the facilities associated with the Sheikh Zayed International Airport are

situated with in the Aerodrome boundary fencing. Aerodrome Reference Point
(282307 .52N 0701647E) is located center on the runway having elevation of 271 feet

and reference temperature is 42 degrees celcius.

SHEIKH ZAYED AIRPORT

Sheikh Zayed Airport is an International Airport with scheduled International

Operations route for the sector Rahim Yar Khan- Abu Dhabi however they said flight
schedule is suspended by the Operator I.e. M/s PIA since 2018 and currently the

entire commercial flight operation is suspended due to Covid-19 otherwise a domestic

commercial flight operation with 28 weekly flights for cities like Islamabad, Lahore and
Karachi had been operational Pre Covid19 era. However General Aviation Operations
26 (JDW and other groups’-chartered flights) and VIP Royal Emiri flight operation of

UAE are fully functional at this Airport.
