Air Canada flight AC056 from Toronto, arrived at its new base, one of the largest airport terminals in the world, at 6:56pm UAE time on Wednesday.

The carrier’s flights previously operated from DXB Terminal 1.

Move to DXB to enhance connectivity

The move to Terminal 3 strengthens the strong partnership between Dubai Airports and Air Canada, the country’s flag carrier and largest airline.

The North American country is a key destination for DXB, with 14 weekly flights to Toronto and seven weekly flights to Montréal, serving over 345,000 passengers in 2022.

On July 25, Emirates and the Canadian carrier jointly announced the milestone move.

The co-location of operations underscores the benefits of the partnership between the two airlines launched in November 2022.
