Mr. Wilson C. Kwok has paid a personal visited to #Dubai in the #middleeast for three consecutive days from August 7 to 9, 2023. During this trip to the Middle East, Mr. Kwok mainly visited his old friend company of Baker Tilly JFC Group in person to meet with the Founder - Principal & Group Managing Partner to discuss the follows:   1. The latest policy statement on the development of family office business in Hong Kong issued by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (“FSTB”) of the Hong Kong Government in March 2023;   2. Development status of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.   Baker Tilly JFC Group currently has 50 offices in the Middle East, Africa and Asia; it is also an independent member of the group Baker Tilly International.   Mr. Kwok hopes that through his personal visits this time, he can expand more connections and find more business opportunities in the Middle East market, and he committed to promoting the development status of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong’s advantages to attract foreign investment to Hong Kong.   In additional, Mr. Kwok also arranged to meet with the directors of the local Middle East Economic and Trade Association/ Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) during his trip, cooperate with the local professionals to provide asset management and family office services to the community. Look for various cooperation opportunities with the Middle East, expand stable and high-profit business opportunities, and enhance Hong Kong’s competitiveness.   After the Dubai's visit, Mr. Kwok agreed that Hong Kong and the Middle East have many commonalities and cooperation points. As long as the goals are the same and the docking is done well, there will be opportunities everywhere. There are many economically affluent people in the Middle East, they have abundant funds and high spending power. The huge consumer demand just matches the Hong Kong and mainland markets. Hong Kong can provide assets management and family office services to the capital in the Middle East and introduce them to Hong Kong for any investment. At the same time, we hope to use Hong Kong as a springboard to expand the Greater Bay Area market.   Mr. Kwok believes that Hong Kong can carry out various cooperation projects with countries in the Middle East through its advantages in professional services and internationalization, and at the same time enhance Hong Kong's international image and status, also hopes to enhance mutual understanding and friendly relations through sincere exchanges with each other, and at the same time promote Hong Kong's competitive advantages. Mr. Wilson C. Kwok attended the commence the construction of Pok Oi Tuen Mun Lam Tei Nursing and Residential Care Home for the Elderly yesterday. Pok Oi will build Hong Kong’s most sizable residential care home for the elderly, entitled POH Tuen Mun Lam Tei Nursing and Residential Care Home for the Elderly, in Lam Tei, Tuen Mun, thanks to the generous land donation from the Henderson Land Development Company Limited. Expecting to generate 1,434 residential places, the 100,000-square-foot site will adopt a CARE design approach that not only takes into consideration the physical condition and the associated needs of the elderly, but also aims to facilitate social interaction among neighbours. The premises is set to provide a positive vibe and a comfortable and safe living environment for the residents, thus enhancing their quality of life. Comprising a care building and a nursing building, the project will provide accommodation, meals, and basic medical care for seniors who suffer from poor health or require assistance in activities of daily living. In addition to a huge landscaped park, a roof garden and activity spaces to encourage socialising and recreational activities, the village also features an array of services, including a dental clinic, a Chinese medicine clinic, a pharmacy, and a physiotherapy centre. The foundation works of the project will begin in Q3 2023 and is expected to come to fruition in 2026. #charity #eldercare
