The Sultan Abdul Samad Building, named after the ruling Sultan during the time of its construction, is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will enjoy this beautiful landmark, topped with a lustrous copper dome and graced by a 40 meter high tower. While it currently houses the Ministry of Information, Communications and Culture of Malaysia, it has previously played host to a number of government agencies and entities. It is perhaps best known as the location where Malaysia formally declared its independence from Great Britain, and where the Union Jack was officially lowered and the flag of Malaysia raised.
