First hair appointment in many months! Feels great to be back at Doris’ place. HUHH (Heads Up Hair Home) is a St Albans institution. Doris hails from Ghana and has kept her salon going for 17 years, through thick and thin, including this pandemic. It’s been a privilege to have a salon that cares equally well for black, Asian and Caucasian hair near my home. She’s nursed my locks back to life even when I’ve made the worst decisions, and is the only one I trust my daughter’s hair with aside from my Mum and me. Here’s to another 17 years (or whenever she decides to retire)!

From Breakage to Beauty

I came in summer of 2021 and I had major breakage in the front of my hair and my hair was thinning extremely badly, I have Afro hair. And my hair was continually breaking, I came to Head Up Hair Home and Doris did a consultation and we started a process of renewal - I did exactly what she said to do and now…I had less than 1 inch of hair and now I have 6 inches of natural hair that is healthy. I am beyond grateful. I have gone to cheaper hair stylists and I have ended up paying for hair damage!HUHH may be a bit pricey, but the saying is… you get what you pay for!~ Jimmy, St. Albans

Great with curls

I went to Doris for the first time and hadn’t had my hair cut for nearly a year. I wanted someone local who knew about curls and Doris certainly does! She spent time to talk about my hair and listened to what I wanted. I put myself totally in her hands and didn’t regret it. She did a great job and I’ll definitely be going back
