The airport is located in Hansol, 9 km (5.6 mi) north of central Ahmedabad.
The new terminal has a half kilometre long moving walkway, which connects
the two terminals. The airport serves as hub for the low-cost carrier
Spicejet and as a focus city for Air India, Blue Dart Aviation, GoAir and
Jet Airways.
