Karnal Airport
Karnal Airport, (ICAO: VI40), the home of "Karnal Aviation Club" ("Karnal
Flying Club"), is an airstrip situated about 3 km east of Karnal in the
state of Haryana, India. It is being used for General Aviation and Pilot
Training.
The Airport has one asphalt surface runway, oriented 31/13, the length of
runway is 3,000 ft (917 m) with elevation 829 ft (253.51 m) above sea level.
This Airport is manage and operate by Airports
Authority of India (AAI).
There are no scheduled commercial flight operations.
Government of Haryana's Karnal Aviation Club of Haryana Institute of Civil
Aviation offers flying training and preparation courses to the Pilots for
the following Directorate General of Civil Aviation (India) licenses:
- Student pilot license
- Private pilot licence
- Commercial pilot license
- Glider pilot license
The Government of Haryana provides subsidy for the above to the natives of
the state of Haryana who must apply for it using a Haryana Domicile
Certificate.
