Santorini is a Greek Island that is considered as one of the top tourism destinations because of its rare natural beauty, crystal water, amazing beaches, and multiple attractions.

The main airport in Santorini is Santorini Thira International Airport JTR.

In our blog, we are listing all what you need to know for operating to JYZ Thira International Airport, and a brief about Greek Islands Flight Operation.

    — Slots & PPR in JTR:

You need a PPR before applying to Airport Slots, and slots are required especially in the summer season (June till September) due to the high demand at JTR airport.

Slots should be requested 14 days before landing, and can be canceled prior 12 hours, otherwise the operator will have to pay penalties that could reach to 32k USD

    — Landing Permits:

Landing Permits are not required in Santorini Thira International Airport for private non-revenue operators unless they’re non European Union Charter Flights.

    — Overflight Permits:

If you’re operating with temporary documents you will require overflight and landing permits.

    — Available Fuel:

Jet A-1 is the available fuel
