File Description:
Modern military scenery for FS9 that is somewhat based on current U.S. operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. Also included is the library for the objects used that can be placed with the EZScenery program from Abacus. This is a simple tribute to my brothers and sisters (past and present) that are doing their duty for their country on a daily basis which makes it possible for me to sit here and design this, THANK YOU!

London 2004

File Description:
Continuing my new free releases for this year, here is my London 2004 scenery package that I designed for my personal use but now I want to share it with the community. I have had numerous requests to do more cities and airports so this is my third scenery for 2004. Being the lazy person I am, no research was done and no claim to real life cities and airports is intended or implied. I have added many objects to the airports and cities including terminals, hangers, buildings, castles, city scapes and other fun and interesting things. All of which were culled from all the wonderful designers in the X-Plane Community such as B. Brooks & Christian Franz, Ted Davis, Tom Curtis, Ralph Glass, Tim Chandler, Didier Chauveau and all the other hard working and exceptionally talented designers who have inspired me. Many thanks to each of you for your contributions to the X-Plane community. Like all my scenery packages, the additions to the citys and airports are purely fictional. The airports themselves are unaltered. I have enhanced London Heathrow (EGLL), London Gatwick (EGKK), London City (EGLC) airports and of course the city of London . A special thanks to Robert Bunce for his NYEXPRO packages and Ken Spiker for his KWIKCITIES package. If I inadvertently left out other objects and scenery designers, it was purely unintentional and I offer my apologies. All airports and cities come with Night Textures. Flying at dusk and dawn will add additional enjoyment to your experience. You may want to experiment with your Autogen settings for best results. I turn mine way down in the rendering settings so that autogen buildings don't sit on top of custom objects and roads. It will improve framerates as well. Installation: Place the extracted "London 2004" folder into your "Custom Scenery" folder. I have included apt.dat files for v6.70 and v7.30. Keep the apt.dat file for your particular XP version. Apt.dat files are different formats for v6 and v7. Please send any comments or suggestions to davidson43a@yahoo.com. 82nd Airborne FX - Desert Camo

File Description:
By request, this FX is for my friends in the Army Airborne and those serving over in Iraq. These FX files allow you to drop a number of camouflaged paratroopers from the DC-3, JU-52, DeHaviland Otter, and now the C-130. Editing the included text insert (door location) for the aircraft.cfg file will allow them to jump from any other plane of your choosing as well. I no longer have FS2002 so was unable to test this with that FS version. I wish to thank Mr. Pierino Primavesi for his kind permission in allowing me to modify the FX files he made for his Luftwaffe version of the JU-52. THIS FILE IS A COMMERCIAL DEMO! The McDonnell Douglas F-4 E/F Phantom 2 is a two-seat, twin-engined, all-weather, long-range supersonic fighter-bomber originally developed for the U.S. Navy by McDonnell Aircraft. Proving highly adaptable, it became a major part of the air wings of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. It was used extensively by all three of these services during the Vietnam War, serving as the principal air superiority fighter for both the Navy and Air Force, as well as being important in the ground-attack and reconnaissance roles by the close of U.S. involvement in the war. First entering service in 1960, the Phantom continued to form a major part of U.S. military air power throughout the 1970s and 1980s, being gradually replaced by more modern aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon in the U.S. Air Force and the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet in the U.S. Navy. It remained in service in the reconnaissance and Wild Weasel roles in the 1991 Gulf War, finally leaving service in 1996. The Phantom was also operated by the armed forces of 11 other nations. Israeli Phantoms saw extensive combat in several Arab–Israeli conflicts, while Iran used its large fleet of Phantoms in the Iran–Iraq War. Phantoms remain in front line service with seven countries, and in use as an unmanned target in the U.S. Air Force. Phantom production ran from 1958 to 1981, with a total of 5195 built. ORER - Erbil International airport - Erbil, Iraq

File Description:
ORER - Erbil International Airport, Kurdistan, Iraq. The new airport and terminal building opened on March 3, 2010 and is as such not known in FSX. The airport is built next to the old airport, previously a military field. With its short 2,800 meter runway and temporary terminal buildings, there was a great need for a new airport, not just a new terminal. The new airport has one of the world's longest runways. 4,800 meters long, 75 meters wide and equipped for ILS CAT II operations.

Using ADEx 1.51, aeronautical maps all these changes have been built into the default FSX airport now making it on par with the present situation on paper. Right, on paper! Google Earth's images are too old (2004) to offer any help regarding buildings, vegetation and surrounding areas like offices, parkings and roads. With the help of blurry pictures found on the internet this is the best rendition for now. 99% correct.
For those interested a complete technical overview of the airport including approach plates is included in this package. Please read the readme carefully for proper installation!

Iran SRTM mesh : West

File Description:
This mesh covers the western part of Iran and some parts of Iraq. Major Iranian cities are: Kermanshah, Khorram Abad, Dezful, Awhaz, Hamadan. Major Iraqi cities are: Al-Kut, As-Sulaimania. Based on SRTM Data (3 arcsec, 90m) and sampled to LOD9 resolution (76m) using Matthew Styles's program "SRTM To BGL v1.04". Biggest SRTM "holes" (void data) were patched with SRTM 30-arcsec dataset thanks to John Child's beautiful and powerful "Blackart" utility.

Discover FSX flight 6 : Iraqi-Iranian border - Military Recon / Patrol Flight Plan

As Part of the Coalition Force deployed in Iraq, your squadron based at Kirkuk AirForce base in Northern Iraq has been tasked with routine border patrol and recon flights along the Northern Iraqi-Iranian border, the terrain consists of beautiful valleys and ice cap mountins as well as awsome vistas and ranges, you will need to maintain low level carpet flying and try and stay close to the main roads when possible. If your flying a military helicopter, get close to whatever looks suspicious as long as your gunners are alert, Military Command indicates movement of extremist terrorists and weapons in these desolate areas-----dont stray off course or you will cause an international incident----- Just place the included (Plan File) in your saved routes and flights folder(accessed from Desktop) and load it from the FSX flight planner)

File Description:
ORBI - Baghdad International Airport, Baghdad, Iraq Slowly but surely the Baghdad international airport comes back to life. Although the airport is quite large, it is not yet used to its maximum. Some aprons still have no real use and thus are empty. Apron V, the presidential apron, is still present but might have been restructured by now. Airlines like Austrian, Emirates, Etihad, Royal Jordanian and FlyDubai offer regular services to Baghdad. Using ADEx 1.51 and the IRAQ AIP this AFCAD updates the default airport to what it is now on paper. Google Earth�´s images are too old to offer any help regarding buildings, vegetation and surrounding areas like offices, parkings, roads and apron V. Gatenumbers have been updated, taxiways added and renamed, ILS 15R/33L has been removed, the military area is more detailed, taxiways are correctly sized and the overall quality of the airport increased. For those interested, the complete IRAQ AIP is attached. It not only gives complete information about several Iraqi airports, it also holds approach plates of most of them. You will also find plates for ORSU, for which an AFCAD has been uploaded separately.
