File Description:
Lafayette Louisiana USA Regional Airport for FSX. Several improvements have been made to the default airport. The default terminal building has been replaced with a custom building created in FSDS; aircraft gates have been correctly coded using Airport Design Editor 1.70.6042; a new airport vehicle network has been built to prevent airport vehicles from entering the taxiways; extra fuel trucks have been added throughout the airport; the tower view has been changed to display from the roof of the control tower; static FedEx and UPS scenery objects have been placed throughout the airport; all taxiway signs are correctly placed and all taxiway designators are correctly named; there is the option to open both runways to AI traffic; the ILS for Runway 4R has been added; optionally, a set of GA flight plans is included using all default FSX aircraft to liven up the GA area; and Jim Dhaenen's excellent ramp lights are also included. Please read the README.txt file to insure proper installation of all files.

File Description:
This is a version for FSX of the Merrill Field made by Roger Wensley (me) for FS9, converted by John B Loney jnr. "PAMR read this first" explains this but I have modified John's original procedure, and instead of first installing the Merrill Field original plus two updates I have included here the current FS9 version as installed on my computer. Note that to see the apron lighting working in FS9 it was necessary to have Sidney Schwartz's light library installed, along with his updated textures (to avoid severe blurries caused by a faulty texture). The original installation instructions are included giving file library priorities etc. Just ignore the bits that do not apply, such as installing AI that is not included. I have of course omitted the original AI as this is replaced by John's version. I have no comment to make on installing in FSX as I have not done so, and I have not tested it in FSX. If you have comments or questions I will respond as much as I am able. Merrill Field is in Anchorage Alaska, between Anchorage International to the southwest and and Elmendorf Air Force Base to the north. It caters for general aviation and is the land equivalent of the Lake Hood float plane base, with fuel and numerous maintenance facilities, and several hundred parking spots for small planes. There are three runways, and the longest is 4,000 feet of 100 feet wide asphalt, the second 2,635 feet of asphalt 75 feet wide, and the third 2,000 feet of 60 feet wide gravel. The first two have runway lights. It is a controlled airfield with a relatively new control tower to cater for the numerous flights and to coordinate with Elmensdorf and Anchorage International, the latter also controlling flights from Lake Hood and the adjacent gravel strip Z41. (See my Lake Hood scenery). The gravel runway at Merrill Field is not connected with active taxiways to the rest of the airfield; this avoids you being ordered to land on it when flying a plane too large to do so.

File Description: This project includes the neighboring Goma Intl (FZNA) and Gisenyi (HRYG) airports. After Goma's only runway was severely damaged by the eruption of Mount Nyiragongo in 2002, the runway, originally 3000m long, was reduced to 1800m of serviceable pavement after lava flowed onto the northern part runway and through the city center. In 2013, German NGO Welthungerhilfe ("World Hunger Aid") signed a contract to rehabilitate 500m of runway damaged by the lava flow. Goma resumed scheduled international flights in 2015, and this project reflects the airport as of March 2016, with runway 18/36 renumbered to 17/35. SRTMGL1 (30m) mesh brings the volcanoes in the area into much greater detail. This scenery is complimented by the Kigali Intl (HRYR) scenery (FSX_HRYR_Kigali_2016.zip). Updates were created or rebuilt in a manner which carefully aligns airport data with current satellite imagery. Scenery was created using Airport Design Editor X v1.70.6042, SBuilderX 3.13, and the FSX Object Placement Tool. Scenery objects were added and modified from stock FSX scenery to resemble as closely as possible the actual airports. The FSX apron lights included are from the set created by Jim Dhaenens.

UEEE - Yakutsk Airport - Yakutsk, Russia

File Description:
Yakutsk UEEE, Russia. This AFCAD was requested by a fellow simmer. I used ADEX to rework the stock FSX file. The aircraft parking has been completely overhauled. Various generic buildings Have been added to give it a better feel. I have added the ILS on runway 23. Measurements were taken from Google Earth and from the Jeppesen chart.

You should download the brilliant car park package by Sidney Schwartz, modified my Martin Gossman at Owls Nest. Also the great lights package by Jim Dhaenens. Both can be found on AVSIM and other good flight sim libraries.

File Description:
Greenville-Spartanburg South Carolina International Airport for FSX. Several improvements have been made to the default airport, including replacing the default terminal with new buildings modelled in FSDS, correctly numbering and coding gates using Airport Design Editor 1.67.5684, creating a new vehicle network, adding ample GA parking, changing the tower view to the roof of the control tower, including the FedEx cargo area with static FedEx trucks, trailers, and warehouse. Also included are Jim Dhaenen's excellent ramp lights and a set of GA flight plans made using AI flight Planner using all FSX default aircraft to liven up the GA area, and the option to include moving road traffic on the approach to Runway 4. Please read the README FIRST.txt and installation.txt files to insure proper installation of all files.
