EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (EAP) is as unique as it is exceptional. Located in the “Tri-Border Region” between Switzerland, France, and Germany, entirely located on French territory and having a dedicated Swiss Customs sector, it is operated jointly by the two countries, Switzerland and France, and offers around 100 destinations primarily in Europe and the Mediterranean region.
This buzzing hub engaged Daifuku Airport Technologies to streamline its passenger check-in process, which will allow the airport to increase its overall terminal capacity. EuroAirport's attention to passenger experience means creating a smooth transition from door to gate, enhancing their overall experience through the right balance of human connections and technology.
To achieve this, Daifuku's check-in kiosks and self-bag drop (SBD) N Series were installed, offering an efficient two-step solution matching their high-quality standards.
The process involved a pilot in which CUSS check-in kiosks, including a side scale and our highly successful Self-Bag Drop (N Series), were commissioned within EuroAirport’s Hall 4, located in the Swiss Sector.
The Airport's long-term objective will be to implement self-service across the entire EuroAirport terminal in various departure halls and according to the airlines’ needs.
Stay tuned to learn more about this world-class solution as the project continues.
