Idly Express - San Ramon

The place is great! the pori masala is the best. The food is authentic and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

Excellent thatte idli and sambhar! One of the best in the tri-valley area.

Uttapam and dosa are good too but no match to their idli and rightfully, namesake.

Staff is friendly and service is quick.

We went to eat at this place for first time, as we have heard really good reviews about the place. Food taste was above average but not too great and masala dosa was much spicier than typical. We wanted to take some additional food to go, but it seems they won't allow dosa to be packed and taken home. I had to cancel our dosa order because of that. I understand dosa is best eaten fresh but that should be customer choice.

This was our first time trying this place out.
We called in for takeout for dinner. They were out of idly. And do not provide dosa for a take out.

We tried mesh vada and there were four in one order. Also tried onion chilli utthapam. Mrdu vada was a bit salty but the sambhar and chutney were good.

Ithapoam is perfect for someone who enjoys spicy food. But the food taste in general was pretty good.

The takeout was quick enough and ready in 20-25 minutes.

Would like to try dosa in restaurant.

Solid South Indian with fast service close by. The dosa isn't as good as Sri Vasantha Bhavan, but still is very tasty. For example, in their onion dosa, they put raw onion instead of cooked, etc. Their filter coffee and medu vada are REALLY good. Hours are also good, as they are open for most of the day. The crowd/vibes are good too, as it's not just South Indian people but all sorts of office workers etc. nearby. A decent place to try!

They have multiple locations but this one has become my favorite one. They use token service for coffee/tea and food is delivered to the table. One of the best South Indian filter coffees, tea is okay. Pick anything here, it's delicious, quick and very reasonably priced. Clean and satiating food. One of the best in the Bay Area for authentic South Indian vegetarian/vegan food.

So thrilled that Idly Express opened in San Ramon!! Food is excellent... super delish!! Service is fast ... and I forgot my wallet but the restaurant staff went out of the way to help me so that I can make the payment. Five star customer service!! Clean place!

We loved the idly, samosa, masala dosa, mylapore special dosa and kids loved the cheese dosa and mango lassi... and filter coffee is not to be missed!!

This will be on our weekly visits... don't miss the sabzis and batters in the fridge!

This is a great place to grab some awesome South Indian food. Definitely try the mysore masala dosa. Crispy and spicy!! Also, try the utapham! It was really spicy but super tasty. Staff was very friendly and menu is really good across the board. Only qualm is that they do not sell soft drinks but there is a seven eleven in the same plaza. You will need a sweet drink to wash down the spice !!!!

I took a small portion to microwave. The biriyani was full of strands like the ones attached in the pic. I did not have the food. Food inspection before giving to customer needs improvement at this chain of restaurants.
Any prospective customer - Please pay close attention to your food before having it.

Went to this place for lunch and quickly realized it is another branch of mylapore express but in different name. The menu is exactly the same the taste of food is same as mylapore express. The quantity and quality was good. The food was fresh. The coffee was made of raw milk but with continuous heating the milk had adai and that didn't let me enjoy the coffee. If not will give this place 5 stars.
