The Bab 'Abdullah (باب عبد الله), named after the Saudi king 'Abdullah bin 'Abdulaziz, is located on the northern flank of the new expansion of Masjid al-Haram.
Bab 'Abdullah (باب عبد الله), is the central entrance gate to the King 'Abdullah Prayer Area Extension, towards the north-western end. The gate is a scaled up version of gates from previous King Fahad expansion of Masjid al-Haram. The tripple arched gate has two minarets, bringing the total number of minarets at Masjid al-Haram to eleven. It is flanked by two tetra arched smaller gates on each side. Three chandeliers hang in the gate's porch. It is one of the 124 gates of the Masjid al-Haram's new expansion and the largest gate.
Interior
A corridor links the Bab 'Abdullah directly to the Mataf area, from the north-western expansion. The interior of Bab Malik 'Abdullah the corridor leading to the Mataf is adorned with geomatric patters and verses from Quran. Okaz newspaper mentioned that it is taller than the Sultan Hassan Masjid in Cairo, Egypt.
