Prof. Dr. Shahrul Amry completed his postgraduate degree in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Royal College Of Surgeons Of Edinburgh and has since dedicated his career to enhance cardiothoracic surgery services both in government and private hospitals under the Ministry of Education Malaysia. He is a well-trained cardiothoracic surgeon with vast experience treating cardiothoracic surgical problems, with over 25 years of operating room experience, and considered as one of Malaysia’s pioneers in the field of Minimally Invasive Cardiacthoracic Surgery (MICS). He has spent his medical career concentrating on cardiothoracic, with a focus on core and subspecialty Minimally Invasive cardiothoracic works ranging from pediatric to adult patients. He has successfully done a wide spectrum of procedures, including Minimally Invasive Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, Minimally Invasive Valves Repair and Replacement Surgery, Minimally Invasive Congenital Surgery, and Minimally Invasive Lung Surgery. An avid researcher, Prof. Dr. Shahrul has published several papers and co-authored various clinical practice guidelines for the minimally invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Albert graduated with Bachelor of Medical Sciences & Medical Doctor degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2005 and completed his Masters in Internal Medicine at University Malaya. He then further pursued and completed his subspecialty in Nephrology at University Malaya. He was awarded Nephrologist by the Malaysian Society of Nephrology. Dr. Albert brings a wealth of experience in kidney care, including Management of Acute & Chronic Kidney Diseases, Glomerulonephritis, Haemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Palliative Nephrology and Renal Transplantation. Dr. Albert is skilled in a wide range of treatments, from dialysis prescriptions to management of dialysis complications and supporting patients through renal transplantation. He is skilled in procedures such as renal biopsy, haemodialysis & peritoneal dialysis catheter insertions. His special interest is in the area of peritoneal dialysis and he was the lead in peritoneal dialysis programme in his former hospital.
