Assalammualaikum and Good Day connections. Last month, I have completed my Protege programme at Assembly Service Sdn Bhd (ASSB) a subsidiary under UMW Toyota. I started the programme in October 2021 with 2 weeks online training before went for on job training (OJT) at the company. I gained valueable experience from the programme especially in Automotive Industry. I was placed under Procurement Department. Although my job scope is not my field, I manage to carry out the responsibilities as expected. I developed skills on management and communication such as managing suppliers in term of Toyota Safety Requirements by Toyota. My colleagues are very supportive and knowledgeable. It is a good experience but I still want to develop my technical knowledge. Hope soon I manage to secure an engineer position. Who knows where will I end up after this. Thank you and have a good day.

Assalammualaikum and good morning. Maybe I am a bit late to share my story but better late than never. 16/3/2022 I am very grateful to finish my study in Bachelor’s Degree of Mechanical Engineering in Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). After 4 years of hardship, alhamdulillah I manage to graduate with 1st Class Honour. Even I could not believe I manage to achieve it since I was not performing well in A-Level programme. I was quite frustrated but I wanted to prove to everyone I can be excellent. Do not let failures define your future. Thank you to my parents, friends and lecturers who were always there to support and guide me through thick and thin. They make me believe everything is possible and sky is the limit. Words of advice, do the things you passionate about to keep you moving on with motivation. Thank you everyone. Good day. #mechanicalengineering #freshgraduate

Safety First! That is the famous tagline in safety. I have been given a chance to handle safety shop floor management for Toyota's Vendors starting this Jan. To be honest, I have no experience and knowledge in safety. But it does not mean I could not learn. It is very tough for me because I am handling vendor safety alone since the previous PIC has resigned and this task is a one man show. Luckily I could rely on Toyota Suppliers' Club for assistant. The photo below is my first meeting with TSC Committee Members which was held online. They are all very helpful and understanding. I will use my time here to learn as much as possible. #management #experience #safety

Sharing on 21st December 2021 When the flood situation was getting better in Klang Valley, my Head of Department wanted some of his staffs including me to visit the affected vendors to check on their status. This was conducted to check whether our vendor could support ASSB Production and to offer our supports. I was asked to visit Oriental Metal Industries (OMI) in Shah Alam and Yokohama Tyre (YHI) in Glenmarie. I had the experience of site visiting and dealing with vendors. This was a very valuable experience for me. #experience

Assalammualaikum and good day everyone. #throwback2021 4 January 2021 - 29 September 2021 I want to share my journey since my final semester until I managed to secure a protege programme in October. I did part time job at Izzy Solutions Enterprise in Wisma Unikeb, Bangi. It is a small company that provides computer solutions for computer and laptop regarding software and hardware issues. They also provide service for custom computer. At first, I was not confident that I can manage my time for my final semester since I had two major subjects which were final year project 2 and Capstone. Those 2 subjects required time and concentrations. My boss and colleague were very friendly and helpful where they let me to take day off if I needed time for my projects and taught me about computer. Alhamdulillah, I managed my time accordingly for my studies and work. In fact, I scored in all the subjects I took. Once I finished my final semester with all the project submissions and presentations, I can concrete on my job. I am interested about computer where I gained lot of knowledge. In term of software, I learnt to format computers based on their specifications, diagnose errors and try to fix them and I was able to solve issues remotely without having the difficulties to go to customers. While in term of hardware, I learnt about types of hard disk, random access memory (ram) and much more. The company also taught me to custom computer based on the customers' budget. I am not only learned entirely on computers but also gained soft skills such as communications and management. Working in the company during pandemic era has taught me valuable lessons. First, be graceful for what you have. Some of us are facing difficulties to secure a job but I am graceful to be hired by Izzy Solutions. Even though the salary is not competitive as the other companies, but I find it is enough for me to support myself. Second, classes and meetings are held through online platform. Many of our customers are students, parents and people who are working from home. I worked for 6 days a week and I admit that it was tiring but I felt worthy because I could help many people during this hard time. I know their computers are very important especially for those families that could not afford to buy a new computer and must rely on old computers and smartphones. I tried my best to make sure their old computers can be used at least for the basic usage. Third, always improve yourself especially on something you are interested. Before this, I have zero knowledge about computer. But with the knowledge I have gained, at least I could help myself, families and friends if they face problems about computers. Because of my passion and interest, I am willing to learn on my own without anyone asks me to do it. Thank you Encik Izzuan, Encik Akmal and Hakimi for the valuable 9 months. p/s apologies for the messy hair.
