What’s being #aggressive means for a founder Lot of time founders must have heard this feedback from investors, peer group or mentors …to be aggressive What’s does it means … caution ⚠️ please don’t go by the dictionary meaning Here are my views - self #assesmemt …it starts from knowing your strengths & vulnerabilities… and acting accordingly … be straightforward to accept you can’t be good in everything but then find someone expert in areas where you need help and plug that gap - #communication regularly to your cofounders, peer group, investors and customers … don’t try to master things before you share… let it be flowing - take #half chances… that’s what separate founders from legacy business owners or corporate… never hesitate to back your gut … unrealistic optimism is core strength - work on faster #decision making Also If you are humble & vulnerable then that’s perfect, you don’t have to change your behaviour, but keep building on your personality. You can take lot of inspiration from sports … where you have to be super aggressive on field but you can be an extremely humble person in life! Impressive Growth & Impact by our portfolio Vidyakul We all try to build a large business, but some of the founders are consciously creating a large impact too. Tarun Saini is one of them, building a vernacular elearning platform Vidyakul… serving to those bottom of the pyramid low income state board students across UP, Bihar & Gujarat. Local teachers teaching in local language … students can relate better and thus bringing the power of online education to these large underserved audience. And the result is really super impressive … 4X growth in paid users in last 12 months, hundreds of top rank students from villages & small towns, district & state toppers. Revenue has grown to $350K per month and they are #profitable. Targeting $5M ARR this year end. No wonder lot of big VCs & family offices wants to back them. I have been fortunate to work with them from pre revenue stage… and it feels so good to see them making a big mark!! We are thankful to so many of our community members who have helped them by investing in them and constantly supporting in business building.
