FADE Africa
Non-profit Organizations
Curbing the threat to the sustainable existence of life and vegetation throughout Africa.
About us
Fight against Desert Encroachment (FADE Africa) is an international non-governmental environmental organisation founded by Dr Newton C. Jibunoh, the renowned environmentalist popularly known for driving across the Sahara Desert in 4 expeditions. We are vehemently committed to the prevention and control of environmental degradation and climate change with an emphasis on desertification and desert encroachment. FADE aims to rid communities of their most devastating societal ills stemming from desertification - displacement, illiteracy, poverty, tribal conflicts, food shortage and environmental degradation. Our projects hope to achieve the realization of self-empowerment for women and develop educational systems in the local communities affected by the long-term consequences of desertification which is imperative to establishing a poverty free society.
