Alanis Morissette reveals why she pulled out of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame tribute

Alanis Morissette revealed why she pulled out of a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame performance with superstar Olivia Rodrigo.

Morissette — who participated in rehearsals for the show up until the day before — said through an Instagram story Monday that she dropped out due to sexism.

The 48-year-old singer seemed to indicate problems with the production team and that the experience was in contrast to “countless incredible experiences with production teams with all genders throughout my life.”

Several sources inside the production claimed that both Rodrigo and Morissette “struggled with the song” during rehearsals, which led to an argument and the walkout. They were slated to perform “You’re So Vain” in a tribute to Carly Simon.

Morissette’s team denied the accusation saying that both artists were in the normal phase of working out the tune, according to Variety.

The Post reached out to Morissette for comment.

“There are some mis-informed [sic] rumblings about my not performing at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this past weekend,” reads a statement from the artist.

“I have spent decades in an industry that is rife with an overarching anti-woman sentiment and have tolerated a lot of condescension and disrespectfulness, reduction, dismissiveness, contract-breaching, unsupportiveness, exploitation and psychological violence (and more) throughout my career,” she continued.

“Thankfully, I am at a point in my life where there is no need for me to spend time in an environment that reduces women … There is nothing better than a team of diverse people coming together with one mission. I’ll continue to show up in those environments with bells on. :)”
