An American tourist, who got into a rage at the Sangster International Airport as she prepared to leave the island yesterday morning, has been hospitalised.

The female tourist, who is said to be a dentist was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital for psychiatric evaluation, after she stripped naked and attempted to disarm a cop, who tried to subdue her at the airport.

Reports from the St James police are that about 11:00 am yesterday, the female passenger was about to check out when she stripped naked and got into a physical confrontation with her friend. When the police attempted to intervene, she tried to disarm one of them.

Behaving rowdy

In a three-minute video making the rounds on social media detailing the airport episode, the woman can be seen stripping and behaving rowdy, she could also be seen holding onto her private parts without clothes.

The woman tussled with one of the police officers, who was trying to bring about some semblance of order but she was unrelenting.

After several minutes of a struggle, the American visitor was finally handcuffed and attempts made to get her dressed before she was carted away to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation,
