Location
Lat 22° 58' 40N 97° 45' 8E  Lashio Airfield is located at an elevation of 2,450' above sea level two miles north of Lashio (Lasho) in Shan State in Myanmar (Burma).

Wartime History
On April 30, 1942 occupied by the Japanese and used as a military airfield. During late October 1942 Japanese aircraft from Lashio flew missions against Dinjan in India.

Today
Still in use today as Lashio Airport classified as a small airport. The single runway is oriented 19/01 measures 5,285' x 95' surfaced with bitumen. Airport codes: ICAO: VYLS IATA: LSH. Served by Myanma Airlines, Air Bagan, Golden Myanmar Airlines, Yangon Airways, Air KBZ and Asian Wings Airways.
