Remembering Derek Shepard, MD, AKA, McDreamy

Remembering Derek Shepard M.D., aka, McDreamy, from Grey’s Anatomy
When a patient flat lines on an OR Table, it’s a depressing thing for those trying to save him and pain for the patient’s family. It was quite another when Dr. Derek Shepherd, aka McDreamy, was sent to the morgue on Grey’s Anatomy. Millions of people mourned his passing after he was killed on the ABC drama.

Patrick Dempsey the actor who portrayed McDreamy said in an interview with EW that it all happened “very quickly” and “there wasn’t a lot of discussion.”
I haven’t watched the show much  recently, but absolutely never imagined the main character being eliminated. Patrick Dempsey made Derek. He delivered the writer’s lines as happy, sad, romantic, painful and always true. He epitomized what romance is between modern couples.
