Public airport located 12 km west of spa town Baden - Baden and 40 km south of Karlsruhe city. It is the second busiest airport in Baden-Württemberg state. Former military airport constructed during the Cold War under French supervision. Upon its completion it has became Royal Canadian Air Force station. It remained so until 1994 when it was transferred to German government. Baden Airpark developed into an industrial area. It serves primarily low cost airlines and seasonal IT charters. |
